Throwing a Party

Aight so my "friend" didn't invite me to his wedding or reception, so in order to not be bored I'm throwing a party on the same night (anyone that's going to the wedding isn't invited cuz I'm not a dick smh). It's gonna be bad ass, but the only problem is that I haven't thrown a house party in YEEAARRSS, so I need you guys to help me out. I know that I need alcohol, snack foods, music, and low lighting. Is there anything else that I need? And does anyone have any suggestions for foods/drinks/music? Help me out peepz. Thanks

tell people to bring their own goddamn alcohol...hip hop music, and be sure to drink lots lots lots of vodka...the entertaiment, well once everybody's drunk, the entertaiment will take care of itself lol

Keep the party space small. Like if you have a two level, only keep them downstairs or in the basement. It'll make it seem like its a bigger party, so people will dance more and stuff like that.

uhh.. when i throw a party, i usually tell people to bring their own alcohol (i can't be assed to buy it for everyone, most of them is going to throw it up anyway, so why bother) and snacks they'd like to eat. i buy some chips/Coke or a bottle of vodka, but that's it. when i threw a new year's eve party, my friend brought home-made sushi. the idea of everyone bringing something is not only way cheaper, but also way cooler - some people have awesome ideas and there might be a vide range of stuff (alcohol, food, music).

music.. iono, if your friends are into hip hop - the choice is obvious. at parties, we play some old/shit music - seriously, when you're drunk it's much more fun when you play the ol' good 90's music last party - we played 'Macarena' and people went crazy.

make sure to hide ALL the stuff you consider fragile/valuable/worth-keeping-in-one-piece, but also hide cables (someone might not notice them and take down your fave lamp or TV set), flowerpots, put bubble foil on the couch (to prevent it from being spilled on/spat on/threw up on/etc) and have fun

last time threw a party i did the same, i bough coke and some bottles of rum but i told ppl to buy their own alcohol (my friends drink a lot...i would be brok if i had t buy all their alcohol) buy snacks and some pizzas or tell ure mum to prepare something, everybody likes mom's food

and abut the music, it depends what u like and what most of ur friend likes

And thanks for all the ideas. Oh and Yoshi it's not at my place so the valuables aren't an issue. Keep the ideas coming. I'll tell everyone to bring a bottle of something they like. Then I'll keep all the left overs! MUAHAHA! But yeah having people bring stuff is a great, common sense idea that I didn't even consider lol.

So far the ratio is completely even between males and females, but there should be about 10 more girls than guys I'm hoping. And I'm gonna do a combo of rap, club shit, rockish shit, and extremely white pop music just to make sure everyone feels welcome lol
