I completely disagree with you. I think a bow is a sign of respect just like shaking hands. The two actions mean that same thing. There's no reason for this to even be news. actually Maybe, i've done quite a bit of research on foreign policies and politics.

i find polotics to be QUITE rediculous at times. Seeing as how a bow is taken to an extreme, i find this whole topic to be quite rediculous.

but then again he should have foreseen that american citizens (a majority of who supposedly have a very low inter-cultural tolerance) would never understand this and forced a greeting that worked better for him by just stretching out his hand.
