Unfortunately, there's lots of "wtf? the accent :tounge2: " "the accent sucks" "he sounds retarded" "whats wrong with his voice?" "uuuuggggghhhhh, em fell off" "fuck this shit" "this sucks."

:shakehead:

That's my review for Im Having A Relapse, Crack A Bottle, & We Made You spot on. The accent does suck, and he does sound retarded with it. His voice is fucking annoying like that, and those songs did make it seem like Em fell off and they did suck. However 3 AM has a good concept, with great lyrics and the beat is good to so I looked past the accent for that song.

that's exactly my point. if people had something else to complain about then it'd be not problem for me. but people just keep dwelling on it and all dramatic about it.

im not saying the song is terrible, the lyrics seem pretty good and the beat is fire but whats stopping making it a really enjoyable track is da voice/accent thing for me.......i cant help that

and im not writing relapse off, just not a very good start

poeple..if you like this eminem shit he putin our lately than you are typical stan or,on drugs or totally lost your mind!
both we made you and 3am have great lyrics, but wtf is he talkin about? I cant play this track over and over again, its boring as hell..
I asked myself why did I start to listen eminem anyways, the answer is:
-cuz eminem was personal, its like a fuckin tv show,I was always wondering what will happen next
-coz of his anger, emotions,he was putting himself into his song so a lot of times I could relate to it..he has song for every mood
-MMLP, I still bump that shit and every song on it is better than any of his latest shit..someone from D12 was comparing this new song with The way I am..please don't..everybody was talkin how relapse sounds like MMLP..not what I herd..

as I said before this is lyrical track, probably 1 of best out there right now but this is not what I expect from em..it left me 5% hope that relapse is good..but I'm still gonna buy that shit just to support him..Its gonna flop anyways

Gotta respect Em for rapping on that accent cause really who does it ? its just him its something new I dont know maybe its only those 2 funny singles with that accent , and all the serious tracks with his emotional/angery voice will be in relapse , Lets hope so

As odd as it may sound, 3AM and We Made You have actually set my hopes higher for the relapse album. I like the lyrical skill and creativity that was put into them, and enjoy listening to Eminem experimenting. With 3AM, I think the accent is supposed to represent him playing a character - namely, a serial killer.

You can't expect, after all the shit that's happened, for the old Eminem to be coming through in these tracks...

That's just my opinion.

:smoking: naw. If you say Kill You or Criminal is hella sick, then you must be a kid. Because if your older, that stuff aint ''hard'' no more. 3 AM is pretty mature and clever other than the accent. It's better than a lot of the old songs. Eminem is not a kid no more. So he has to come up with other stuff. 3 am in the morning!!!.....

Well it cant be 3am in the evening now can it?

Hadez wrote:everyone here has made a pointless thread. now it's my turn.

his interview with that one chick today gave me a new kind of respect for Eminem and his efforts in Relapse. he says Dre made a jillion tracks and Em got to pick. he says he picked the ones that challenged him. he said it was finding new ways to switch up his flow.

i respect that. i would rather he looked for a challenge to do somethin new than to do what he's always done. Encore was a problem cuz it kinda seemed half-assed. but i can see the effort he's put into these couple singles that you people keep bitching about.

the level of rhyming skill is, in my opinion, very nice. he does a great job with that. "We Made You" had very little subject to it. just celeb bashing. but "3 A.M." actually paints a nice picture. and if you sit back and actually try to envision what he's saying it's got quite the imagery goin on.

you guys are seriously dismissing everything good about these songs over stupid accent and a fart noise. especially this new song. you guys can't see past the nit picky crap you keep going on about to actually see that "3 A.M." is very creative.

personally i'd give the song a 4.5/5 but whatever. i'll tell your moms you all need a diaper change.

Agree with ya 100%, 3AM is actually a great song. The flow is great and the lyrics are dope as hell. We Made You was actually good, just like Em's previous singles (kinda like The Real Slim Shady). The beat of 3AM is fire and the lyrics are amazing, the voice doesnt annoy me because it fits in with the dark concept. 3AM is one of the best songs Em has put out in the past 6-7 years, and it is better than almost all of Encore.

Good start for Relapse, I think its gonna be a very good album.

Exactly what I'm feeling. We Made You/3am is A LOT better then Just Lose It/Like Toy Soldier and he has def stepped his lyrical game up. No doubt. And really guys, do you acctually believe Dre would let Em do more then a couple of tracks with that accent? Of course he wouldn't... If Relpase has as sick lyrics and beats like the singels have it's gonne be a classic. I'm talking MMLP people.

I don't worry about the accent at all, and honestly, the 3am accent wasn't really bad, i just prefier his darker voice instead of the high pitched one. This is gonne be insane!

Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

I understand that everyone wants to stand up for Eminem, I mean we all love him, but honestly you have to look at his music a little more objectively and not just become instantly enamored because it is him.

I agree with this too, but I think it works the other way around. Since it is Eminem, and people have been waiting five years for this cd people expect a definitive sound they thought up in there head, and when its not that exact same sound, people are dissapointed. Listen to it as if its not eminem, and just some rapper, and i think the song is great. very cinematic with the imagery in his words, and as a writer, the way he makes words sound however he wants them is crazy
