If he is having this kinda accent over the whole album then Encore > Relapse...
If he rapped liked he use to before then the album will be fucking insane keeping in mind his recent lyrical skills...

I agree with you..If he uses this level of skill to with different energy that would be cool..
Hadez wrote:people already relate to him. he's had 3 n a half albums worth of relating. there's only so much he can say. his story is only so long. would you rather he rapped about Taco Bell so you can have the satisfaction of going "hey i like Taco Bell too!"?

I wanna hear what was going on in his life this past few year, and a lot of things happened..he can rap about many topics and he raps about..nothing..

If he continues on this track with great lyrics and great flow with less than perfect (or down right annoying as in We Made You) deliveries then yeah that'll be disappointing. I'm sure there will be some songs like 3 AM where the delivery, to me at least, really isn't that bad that I'll bump because they're dope as fuck, but I can't say this album > anything or is >'d by anything until actually hear it...

I've said it before, i reckon if Relapse follows the trend of its singles people are gonna appreciate Encore a lot fucking more.

Also,

He's not doing a very good job right now.

in this thread we are not particular talkin about THIS ONE SONG...as i wasnt really pointing at this one song with my sentence either...i was talkin about his whole lyrical ability in the last 3-4 songs he released...i mean that made Em special to create lyrics that people can relate to..

I agree, i mean i can't relate to stan but i think it's a classic, but my fear isn't about 3 AM its about it's foreshadowing of Relapse, I'm afraid all songs are going to be like this, i mean wasn't I'm having a relapse just like this...

First off, can people stop mentioning Crack a Bottle, i don't know if it's on the album due to it's success or whatever, but we would've never heard it if it hadn't of been leaked. It was a cast off, and Em wanted people to hear it finished, so saw it as an opportunity to get a bit of promotion going for the big 3.

Personally i think that his songs that he's releasing may be alot to do with promotion.

I think that the hype over "What the fuck did he say?? Shit.. Shadys back!"
is going to be greater than "Wow Em.. That's some deep and personal shit there".

Obviously the second one for Em fans like us gives us hope for the album, but the first gets people buying it that aren't automatically going to. Em knows that we're going to buy it anyway, so maybe he's left the treats we want on the rest of it.

Anyway, that's my thoery :y:

Personally, i think that Encore wasn't terrible, but lacked direction. While it's looking more and more like Em's going to be exploring his problems, through fantasy (Shady) and through reality (Eminem). Which i think would be kind of cool, because it's showing the two sides of drugs, the glamourous reputation, and the dark reality.

We Made You- On par with, or just below his other first single. Just think that he did well considering that he hadn't been beefing with anyone, and i think it just got singled out because we waited so long, and any first song would be scrutinized to hell.

3 AM- My mouth dropped when i first heard it. But purely because i was expecting a Proof tribute, and was gearing myself up for some heart broken lyrics. But after realising that it wasn't this, i listened again.. and i like it. The accent is hardly noticable, i only noticed it the first time because i was analysing every sound in anticipation. The Chorus is funny to me tbh lol it reminds me of a darker, simpler "Kill you", that kind of "i'm a serial killer.. deal with it" shit. The verses were mad, so if anyone says that he's fell off, then you're deaf. If you don't like his sound, fair do's, it's your opinion, but the skills are there, and actually an improvement of sorts on Encore and even Eminem Show in a way :confusion: Btw, i LOVE the "Refill.. Us" whisper at the end.. that got me syked even more than the song :worship:

I know what people mean with the whole relating thing. I can't relate to his exact problems, but he's always helped me when i've had problems. I find the best way to get out anger is to go on a rant, so to here this man have all these problems, it's my way of ranting, while not even talking at all if you know what i mean. However, like i said before, a comeback is more hyped when it's shady being sick and twisted. The real shit is for the people that get the album through loyalty, or those that use the hype to get their arses in their local HMV or whatever

While we're also making up theories, has anyone thought that this supposed Proof track is so raw and personal, that Em doesn't want it being played in his face constantly on radio and shit?

dam, i dont think anybody should be negative about this, we should consider it amazing, just think by the end of this year we will have heard around 34+ new Eminem tracks including Relaspe 2, i still think it has a strong chance of being released this year. Also the Norman Bates Motel track from BISD. :D
