3 am was a fucking sad excuse for a career that looked so bright...now em's whole fucking persona has turned into one big fucking joke...thats sad cuzz this man will make millions for putting out an album that will only interest stans like yourself

i'd like to make a few mature points about this song...this is strictly MY OPINION

1) 3 AM is the illest Em has been lyrically since Infinite
2) The "accent" fits this ---horrorcore mixed with cartoon violence--- subject matter
3) If you don't like this ---horrorcore mixed with cartoon violence--- subject matter you probably won't like Relapse all that much
4) Relapse looks to be a concept album - duh lol
5) For the Big Weenies on here, Em will have your "depressing personal soulful tracks"...there's no doubt about that, he's not gonna strangle his cousin with Christmas tree lights and drink his bath water for 16 songs (would be sick tho haha). And if your're lucky he might even throw a Proof verse on it
6) Like it or not, Eminem is different now....
7) Relapse = SSLP on steroids

People have different opinons and thats cool. I'm just saying you're in the minority of not liking this song this time around. With We Made You, it was a completely different reaction. But i've read reviews and talked to some of my friends today and they all seem to really like this. So I guess it depends on what you wanted from Em this time around. To be honest, this is what I wanted, even though I'm 21 years old, this kinda subject matter just seems very entertaining and i'm glad he's not just bitching about his life like I thought he would do.

a hook is the catchy part of a song, so that's the chorus right? or is it the ohhhh ohhh thing at the beginning.

in regards to the freshman 10 comment left earlier though, em said on the radio that the only two ppl that had cameos on relapse were 50 and dre, so i don't know why u think there would be 2 members of freshman 10 on relapse ut whatever.

still not sure if I'm feelin this shit, i think the voice is the major 'if' factor.

But ye to the dude above:

the hook is the chorus. In this song:
It’s three A.M in the Mornin

multies are multisyllables. This is usally one of the deciding factors in whether or not the emcee could be considered very 'lyrical' or not. It means that instead of just rhyming 'man with 'plan' you're rhyming words that have more than one syllable e.g. 'confrontation' with 'bomb the nation'. In this song Em uses a very complex multisyllable rhyme scheme (which is probably the reason a lot of people like it) as well as internal rhyming (rhyming within each line):

in terms of the top 10 freshman, the article stated that he talks about two of the other freshman NOT that they're on his album (only Dre and 50 feature on the album according to Em). We already know what he thinks about Asher Roth, once the full interview comes out he'll mention the names of 2 other freshman (these include Kid Cudi, Blu, Asher Roth, Cory Gunz, Mickey Factz, CHarles Hamilton, Currensy, BOB, Wale and Ace Hood)
