The Slim Shady singer, 36, has been dating Tracy McNew for almost a year but friends of the star claim she is a jealous control freak.
According to a report in the National Enquirer, McNew has allegedly taken over Eminem's life and controls every aspect of it – including his career.
A source close to the rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, told the Enquirer: "Tracy has Marshall wrapped around her little finger and if he's not careful she's going to wreck his life.
"She is calling the shots on his business affairs and has tried to pull him away from his friends."
McNew was working for Eminem when he was dating previous girlfriend and studio manager Mami Bright.
But according to the source, McNew began taking over when Eminem was ill in hospital.
The source added: "Marshall's relationship with Mami was in turmoil during the 2007 holiday season and he was admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia.
"Tracy barely left his bedside, which helped destroy Mami's chances of a reconciliation.
"Tracy has a strange power over Marshall – he seems to do whatever she tells him."
Now insiders claim McNew has overstepped her role as a production co-ordinator for his label Shady Records.
The source added: "Nobody in Marshall's life is happy with her jealousy over his friends and the way she's meddling in his career. They're all very concerned that she going to derail his comeback."
Eminem is releasing his new album next month.
