Did 3 am drop a bit too early??

Postby preest » Apr 26th, '09, 23:55

I was just wondering peoples thoughts on this, I mean usually when em puts out an album he drops the first single, then the album and then two or three more singles! But it seems like with this album he put out We Made You and about 2 weeks later 3 AM dropped!! I gotta say the first time I heard 3 AM I was like "what the fuck is this shit??" but after sitting down and listening to it more than a few times it turns out to be a pretty sick track!!! the more I hear it the more I like it! (not sure if it's single material though). Also I think its a great sign for the album cos' when em got serious on eminem show and encore, people was hating and complaining about they wanted him to go back to pissing people off again. well looks like we got our wish!! lol!!! - but through all this I still think 3 am dropped too soon after we made you!!

even in the Shade 45 interview with Angela Yee he said that the singles have dropped when they was supposed to because they "run a really tight ship" so they didnt leak!!??!!

any thoughts on this??

I think the only reason Em dropped 3 A.M. was to prove to everyone that We Made You wasn't going to be what the album sounded like, and 3 A.M. is probably a better indication. It was a "street" song that is supposed to prove to everyone hes still lyrical, and that hes still "trying" to be crazy

No, it didn't drop too early. They have to promote the shit out of this album 'cause if they don't it probably won't go anywhere. Too many people are use to him not being around, so he has to be EVERYWHERE Hence the MTV Awards, Jimmy Kimmel Inerviews & all the other shit already lined up. Then another album will drop right after. Things are gonna have to move rather quickly. This is gonna be a busy year 4 him :) :flower:
If I were to die murdered in cold blood tomorrow would you feel sorrow, show love or would it matter?

I agree... most of the people, who really don't know how he usually dropped singles in the past, started to think that whole albums gonna be like We Made You...

I agree with both of you without em dropping that 3am joint there would be alot of people saying that slim shady lost his touch and he just went mainstream with a pop album
