50 Cent has spoken to MTV News about his long delayed new album Before I Self Destruct.

Speaking to Tim Kash he revealed he has scrapped much of the album in favour of more beats from Dr Dre.

He said: “It's about 30 percent of what I had when I felt like I was finished. The production, Dre made a lot more of the music that's on the actual album now. I rewrote some concepts."

Before’ was originally due in Autumn last year with production from Hi Tek, J.R. Rotem and Scott Storch as well as his Aftermath mates.

Curtis explained that with Eminem’s album Relapse finished he’s now got Dr Dre’s full attention.


He said: "It's clear for me now, creatively, 'cause we got Em completed. His album is mixed and mastered and ready to be presented to the public."



Of the older songs completed last year Fiddy said: "It gets dated. I've been playing it for myself for so long, I'm no longer as excited as I was when I wrote it for the first time."

Who cares about 50 anymore. His recent shit SUCKED DICK, and the reason he delayed it is because it would've flopped, not because he wanted to improve it. Nah, as much as I think 50 ain't even that good I always want to support him. I've always seemed to hope for his albums to do well for no reason really. Maybe cause one of his albums I really liked. So I hope he does well with his new album.

Yeah I like to support basically all of Shady/Aftermath artists, and I always hope fif does well but i'm just gettin frustrated cuz he was my fav. rapper from 2003-05 and now he's just so boring to listen to. I want him to bring some heat on BISD, but i'm not that obtimistic. He will no doubt have dope beats, but besides that theres nothin to really look forward 2
