rofl... methinks some of you guys are slightly overreacting... better than TES and MMLP???

those aren't just Em classics, those are all time MUSICAL classics - those 2 albums were flawless in my opinion, while Relapse does have one or two weaker spots (My Mom, Crack A Bottle) . But i guess we all just need to give it some time and listen to it a little more before we really decide what we think of it, me too The production is out of this world though, theres no denying that.

All i can say is that im impressed, relieved and im just not gonna stop bumpin this shit for the next 6 months...


Also, the 1st half could have done without the accent (3am, bagpipes, my mom, etc) - kinda just dragged it done a little

Underground and Beautiful = automatic all time CLASSICS (MMLP and TES songs respectively)

oh yea, laughed my fuckin ass off when i heard the autotune at the end of bagpipes from baghdad

Because of what you said in bold, I'm gonna have no choice but to regard everything you say in the future as erm, rubbish. My Mom is an instant classic, to compare it with Crack A Bottle, is lunacy!

Just finished listening to it fully, and I must admit it's a pretty hot album. It's not your average Eminem shit, this is actually QUITE different, but in a totally good way. I mean, Em needed to do something different, and after being away for a long time, he needs to stand-out again. There are some pretty deep songs like "Deja Vu" (Which I thought was amazing), and "Beautiful" (Singing was weird, but I'm kinda getting used to it). He shows his humour in songs like "Hello", "Bagpipes From Baghdad", and "Insane". I was really feeling "Medicine Ball", it showed that agressive Em style that I love. "Underground" was another really dope track that showcased Em's amazing multi-syllable rhyming/hypnotizing flow.

Overall, I thought it was a great CD. I'm deffinetly satisified after all the waiting.

With Crack a bottle and We Made You as the first singles I was expecting something like Encore. The album is sick, anyone that is hating on this is doing it for pure hate of Eminem. The fuckin rhymes on this are crazy. Underground is crazy, Medicine Ball is crazy, Stay Wide Awake is crazy. Relapse has a lot of good songs if you read anything from someone sayin this album sucks, they are lyin.

That hook is great, really suits the jokey story. You need to listen again man, the lyrics are excellent, incredibly witty and the flow is class, plus it seems he revisit that shit he used to do years ago, doing both sides of the conversation. One of the top 5 songs on the album mate.

Here, Im one who said it was gonna not live up to expectations and I think it doesn't.

The one thing that Eminem songs had, that differed from all hip-hop, was that had something to say. Now, he's all concerned about flow and talks about nothing; basically, I feel he's rapping just rap (there's no passion in the songs).

For ex. in Soldier (TES), he articulates his thoughts so well in a good flow and you hear his passion. But in My Mom/Insane (Relapse), his topic is boring and nothing catches a listener's attention. Again, his multis might be amazing but his rap lacks substance.

It's like he's forced himself into the Shady persona and just trying to "say the most fucked up things" and it reminds me of ICP or some weak shit (it shocking just to shock, but not clever at all). At least in SSLP, his fucked up sayings were clever.

BOTTOM LINE: I'm glad people like it though, but I just think I grew outta his material over the past couple of months. The album seems monotonous; it may have a rare gem here and there but I wish Eminem grew as an MC.

I've tried downloading the whole thing, but the connections slow, have like 15 of the songs, but i'm missing off the best songs basically
