Even on hardcore rap forums who normally hate on em, 95% of them are praising nearly every track as genius.

lol yea i've noticed that on forums too... Also, I know a many of dudes that are Wayne fans and even they admit that Relapse is miles ahead of Tha Carter 3. Em's wordplay is incomparable.

i got those 2 songs back to back on repeat playback

the only song i didnt like was Must Be The Ganja and Insane, not really feeling em (Insane has a sick beat and hook tho)

everything else is on point, even tho i expected more songs like beautiful and underground.

but great album, not dissappointed

cant believe what he spit on Insane, he saved it at the end of the last verse, that last part funny i was glad he ended it that way otherwise i was really pissed off at it .

its a happy album.

i was expectng the quality some songs of the album have..i mean i was really excited for the album at first but the more i listened to the singles was ike..this would b better than encore but not too much..but im quite surprised..i like it. there are like 5 songs who are great..i mean undergrod, deja v, beautiful, tay wide awake..those ongs are amzing and i enjoy the album, like i saidit surprised me and im happy with it..im execting mre from relapse II

how long is it "out" ? i mean the official relase is on 18 or 19 but how long is it leaked?and what do you think about the album compared to encore and the other albums? i wasnt able to listen to it,but this is what i will do now but let me know your oppionion anyways

Wow. This album is a genuinely catchy solid album. I've finally got the chance to listen to it through, understand the background story (http://www.forum.trshady.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=60736) , and I have to say wow.

I hated We Made You.
I hated Crack a Bottle.
To be honest, until the video, I hated 3 A.M.

I hated anything accented by Eminem.

But wow. This album just works well, the accent is totally fine, I don't know if I just got used to it, or I love how the album works with it.

Song lyrics like Same Song and Dance, where under normal circumstances I would hate because of its club like chorus (girl shake that asssss) work so perfectly due to its psychotic nature.

I love the album as a whole, it's a great work of art. I don't know if it'll have a lot of individual replay value, because I will bump to the album as a whole but I totally agree with X-RAY, real songs is what Eminem fans I think really want--and I can see myself getting sick of so much drug talk, but we'll see. Xray's point is exactly why I love Deja Vu and Beautiful the best, but good music is good music, and this album is good.

Finally, after four years of anticipating any type of new material, and nine months of anticipating Relapse, the long awaited album has finally leaked. But does this bring Eminem out of the 'has-been' hole he's been in for the past four and a half years, or does it just sink him deeper? My opinion, Eminem is fucking back, and he ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

For me, Relapse is my favorite Eminem album, not his best, but my favorite. Although many will object to this opinion, I think Relapse is the best, tied of course with Marshall Mathers LP. But most definetely it is eons beyond Slim Shady LP and Encore, and semi-better then Eminem Show. I say it's better than Encore because...well it's fucking Encore. Not that Encore was a bad album overall, but by Eminem's standards and what his fans expect of him it was garbage. Relapse is better than Slim Shady LP because on Slim Shady LP (if nobody will say it I will) he uses the gay voice that we all don't like now. Don't get me wrong, a lot of his songs on SSLP are dope, but some of them are corny and that high pitched voice makes a few tracks unbareable. [i.e. As The World Turns, Brain Damage, I'm Shady, and dare I say it, My Name Is.] Of course tracks like Still Don't Give a Fuck and Rock Bottom are what made him legend. Relapse is semi better than Eminem Show for some of the same reasons why The Marshall Mathers LP is better than it, it's harder and deeper, plus Relapse has more variation of sound from Eminem to Slim Shady to Marshall Mathers [i.e. Underground=Eminem, 3am=Slim Shady, and Deja Vu and Beautiful=Marshall Mathers] even though The Eminem Show is called the Eminem show, but I would still liked a tiny bit more variation.

My opinion, Relapse is dope, and if it's not better than MMLP it's definetely tied or right below it. My top favorite songs on Relapse:
1. Underground 2. Beautiful 3. Deja Vu 4. Stay Wide Awak 5. Insane. (So far anyway.)

Of course Relapse has it's corny songs like Bagpipes from Baghdad which sucks cock and we made you which is just corny, but it's dope songs overpower it's sucky songs.

So what do you think about Eminem's comeback album, what's the best/worst song and list his albums greatest to whackest.

After listening to it a few more times, I agree with whoever said that in terms of all the technical shit (flow, multis, etc), this is excellent, but it's really missing in content. The Eminem Show is my favorite Eminem album and possibly my favorite album in general. This album has a couple Eminem and Marshal Mathers tracks but they are mostly Slim Shady and tracks like Beautiful are not nearly as well done technically as the other tracks. With that being said, I much rather have a great technical album with ok content than an album with great content and and only decent technical skills. I wish he would be able to have it all come together like he did with The Eminem Show and The Marshall Mathers LP, but I am still happy with this album. I think the main reason why I like the album as much as I do is because of the low expectations I had going into it. It wasn't all because of the singles that he came out with (I like 3am), but even all the features he had in the past few years were pretty bad. That's a good thing though because I'm glad I enjoy the album as much as I do. As of now (although I still need to listen to it many many more times) I'd say it goes: The Eminem Show, Marshall Mathers LP, Slim Shady LP, Relapse, Infinite, Encore.

Edit: My favorite track currently is Stay Wide Awake (2nd verse is ridiculous).

I think it's brilliant, the lyrics next to that nice (but slightly chilling) beat. A serial killer love letter is pretty creative. A modern 97' Bonnie & Clyde.
