Favorite Eminem hooks are go to sleep, pistol pistol, stay wide awake, the way i am,fight music, drama setter the list goes on and on.Some people say hooks are not important but when there on a song 3-4 times how can they not be?.A bad hook can bring a song down bigtime but Eminem is nearly always on point with his hooks. As a rapper he doesnt really have any weaknesses end of story.

Heres a vid i made a while ago with some of his best hooks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jhtGScKTQQ .

Actually, I thought the hooks were one of Relapse's weak points.

Like, "My Mom" on the verses made me flash back to MMLP... until the hook. That was so annoying.

Actually, Eminem's had irritating hooks almost his whole career.

Yeah baby, do that dance
it's the last dance you'll ever get the chance to do
Girl shake that ass
You ain't ever gonna break that glass, that windshield's too strong for you
I said yeah baby, sing that song
It's the last song you'll ever get the chance to sing
You sexy little thing, show me what you got, give it your all
Look at you ball, why you cryin' to me? Same song and dance

You're right, his "accents" don't take away from any of the songs/choruses imo.

lol I'm dead ass. This album has tremendous replay value and I think it's because of the "accents." It's out there and I love it.

I was mumbling the hook of Insane and Must be the ganga earlier.

That is my favorite part of the chorus. The rest of it sounds so innocent, like just another club/dance song about a girl, but he inserts that line, and it just sounds so fucking twisted...

I love that hook. That is one of my favorite songs on the album. I agree with Makaveli525 about "My Mom" though. The hook was the only part of the song I didn't like.

Em's hooks are always great, but I love the hooks more on Relapse than any other. With the exception of We Made You and Crack A Bottle, all the hooks are absolutely amazing IMHO. They all get stuck in my head, and are all so different!

Is this a newsflash or something? Seriously, he's always been brilliant at writing and making a great hook. The only bad one on this album is Crack A Bottle, he sounds like Weird Al Yankovich or something, sounds shite. It may be catchy, but it's shite. Whereas the rest are catchy for the right reasons.

the hooks are actually what saved Relapse a bit..
and i wont disagree that Em has a perfect feeling for ryhme sheme, rhythm etc. except Nate Dogg who is the king of hooks anywayz..
but i think a lot has to be thanked to the pro mixing aswell....he has also the funds to make it sound nice..
my 2cents.. :)

Truest thing I ever heard on this forum ;-)

But takin Nate out the equasion, Alot of Ems Hooks are legendary. Drug Ballad and The Way I Am spring to mind as being outstanding. But yeah, the hooks and beats have been lackluster this album.

I wouldn't say it saved the album, but it's definitely a strong element of it.

Yeah, well, I just felt like pointing it out again :p

I think Eminem's hooks on Relapse are his best out of the his entire album catalog though.

No way, the hooks on MMLP will never be beat.

Second best IMO
