i don't think just ordinary hip hop fans are going to respond to this album. Only like hardcore Em fans and people who can respect they wordplay, but from what I have been seeing, most people don't enjoy an album full of murder scenes, annoying voices, and pill references. Most people are giving it a 3, saying that its worth the listen, but not a great album.

It will be underrated because of the lack of serious subject matter. By the way, why is there such a lack of subject matter, I mean Em said in the interview he hated that Hip Hop lacked subject matter for so long and then he puts out this album, but I enjoy the album and think its like a 4 or 4.5 out of 5. A lot of people don't like it.

I just saw that The Carter 3 got a 3.5 as well, LOL... The Rap Album of the Year Award went to a 3.5/5????? LOL, Obie Trice Second Rounds On Me, 4.5. LOL, HipHopDx needs to stop reviewing albums This is crazy... I think Relapse 2 will be better than this album, maybe Em should have put it out first....

people see eminem as a personal, mostly angry, lyrical rapper..so everybody is expecting some deep songs like beautiful,personal like deja vu or kinda angry like underground..underground for my is real slim shady song not that we made you bullshit..I would rate this album with 4-4.5 but maybe I'm to subjective..without few songs(we made you,crack a bottle and few other) and with more songs like deja vu or underground this album would be a classic

Motha Fuck HipHopDx, they still ridign weezy, game & kanye dick. I think Rick Ross Album got higher reviews. Some people cant appreciate talent, I say Fuck em All. New Snippets up on thisis50.com and also the last tiem i checked Relapse was #2 on Amazon

I kinda agree with what most people saying, it should be higher, but it does have only 3 songs that people would get for the most part, beautiful and deja vu being personal and whatever, and underground with his old slim shady style, but the rest is just sick wordplay and rhymes, not really a solid classic album except for em fans.

This album in my opinion is pretty close to MMLP, minus STAN and The Way I AM.
