Does eminem write his lyrics?

Hey, i know it's a dumb question, but i always imagined him to be the kind of person who writes everything himself. If that werent true than the other writers could make it too, right? Anyways in the booklet it lists the writers of all the songs, and theres usually 3-4 people including him on the songs. Also how could he have a bad writers block if there were 3 other people writing also? In the "the way i am" book it shows sheets of his lyrics which were obviously writen by himself because theyre written on notepads and stuff. I know some other artists dont write all their material too but did eminem do this on every album?

The different names you're seeing in the booklist's with his name are all the other composing artist's on the song, including beat producer, mixing and mastering person, etc. Marshall writes his own lyrics, and also ghostwrites for others.

^ like steve says, when it says written it means more than just the lyrics, it's talking about the melodies, mixing/editting, etc... eminem writes all his lyrics (sometimes for homage he quotes other rappers but always writes his own shit) he doesn't always make the melodies for his beats... sometimes he gets other people to do it, since he's not a musician in that aspect.

Dre's dope, but I honestly feel Em writes more shit for him than he's been given credit for. I know how they have their similar style's and what-not, but if you listen closely to some songs (Shit Hits The Fan), it seems like Em had a heavy influence on it.

Em writes basically all of Dre's stuff when they collab. You can tell too, listen to "Say What You Say" or whatever, the structure of the verses and the wit is so obviously Em.

Dre's never written his own lyrics. Even in N.W.A. Em wrote all of "Forgot About Dre" too btw.
