Why do a lot of Eminem fans listen to rock?

It bugs me that an all rap rapper based rapper like Eminem has a high amount of rock fans. And it seems there pretty hardcore rock fans to, so why does he have rock fans if the music he makes isn't rock whatsoever? Minus the color of his skin, and that would basically be like Rakim or Nas having rock fans. It's weird for all out rap fans like me, cause I understand why Kid Rock has rock fans obviously cause his style is rap/rock, Eminem's style isn't rock/rap so why does he have rock fans?

The killing, violence, anger, darker themes all are evident in many Rock/metal songs people listen to.

Most rock songs don't have lyrical themes about hoes, livin' in the ghetto, rims, and money...

I love rock n roll first. But I still have love for hip hop...(2pac, Em, Big, Jay, Naz, and underground rap etc.)

It's cause people can relate heavily to him, no matter what race you are or what you listen to.
i used to be a hardcore rock fan but lately I've been listening to only rap. it's been this way for about a year or so, thanks to eminem. and really other than that, some people are more open to more musical tastes and don't restrict themselves to one genre.

I'm not buying that, I don't think being "white" is a big part of the reason...I think talent, eccentricity, and looks are a "big part of the reason"

Em shows emotion, anger, etc in a lot of his songs. If you listen to White America, The Way I Am, Til' I Collapse, Kim, etc, they have a rock "feel" to them, at least to me they do. Lets use Nas as an example. Even though he's one of the most talented rappers and performers period, you won't see him doing a song like any of those I mention. He makes equally great songs, but not the same kind of style, at all. Same with mostly every rapper. As for Paul Wall, Bubba Sparx, and Lil Wyte, most rock fans can't relate to them whatsoever even though they are white. They don't make songs about killing their wifes, etc. A big majority of Rock fans are white suburbian kids, they can relate to Em cuz he doesn't talk about havin jewelry, livin in the ghetto and shit like that. Plus needless to say, Em's far more talented than any of those dudes. His whiteness isn't the only reason, but it is a big reason. Eminem is the most talented white rapper, thats why more rock fans listen to him then lets say, Paul Wall. He also shows emotion, and some of his songs have kind of a rock feel, that's my opinion. At the end of the day he's just very talented, theres also a lot of Pop, Country and other genre's fans who Em is the only rapper they listen to

why does it bug u ?? ..cuz ur a rap fan u cant like other genres ?? ..eminem is by far my favorite artist of all time but im also a huge fan of incubus, fuel, metallica, stone temple pilots and a shit load of other bands and artists...i just appreciate good music ..eminem fans who like rock too just appreciate good music . ..plus eminem uses a lot of rock influence in his music so i dont understand what the point of starting this thread was ??
