Yeah I agree with Chet, its a good thing when a rapper pays respect to another in that way. Only reason why the whole "Jay-Z is a biter" thing got introduced to the world was because of Cam'ron, when they were beefing he was looking for things to embarrass Jay on and so he got the word out.

He's just paying homage. For every single line he borrows, he has about 3 albums of original rhymes.

Well I used to think he was a biter because he doesn't always seem to give credit to those rappers but I think he's up there as one of the best because he's proven well enough that's he's of the best so it doesn't bother me anymore.

with single lines and such I don't really think it's biting. altough sometimes he does a verse that's almost literaly somebody else's verse.
I also think that he doesn't really say it as paying homage. I believe he does though.
I think Evidence from Dilated Peoples is 'better' at it. for example, op the Layover EP he said 'I shoot slugs from my brain just like a rifle'. but he said in in a specific way, that made clear that it's a quote.
for the conclusion, Jay-z is not really a biter.
