Never Enough, Like Toy Soldiers, Yellow Brick Road, Mosh, Spend Some Time, Mockingbird and Crazy In Love are all great songs. That's 7 great songs on an album, if any other artist did that, it would be considered a classic. There are also moments of greatness in Evil Deeds, My First Single, Rain Man and Big Weenie. If it was good? Encore is way better than good, not as good as his other albums, because they're all undisputable classics, but it's well well above average.

Truth. Not ever CD will be a MMLP or Slim Shady LP. :y: Encore is still better than most rappers would come out with today. Unless you're into some T-Pain shit.

Well I can't be fucked to divulge into yet another Encore dicussion.

But that statement is true. If Sly had left it with #1 it would of been a great classic film and he should of just left it at that.

All the others were just absolute crap. Apart from the latest one, Balboa.

All just cashing in on a franchise, ridiculous scripts, the opponents became fucking comic book characters, exactly the same thing every time. Awful.

Rocky still is a classic no matter if the sequals werent as good as the first one

I'm not saying Rocky isent a classic. I'm just saying you can't really look at all of em', watch them back to back and Say Rocky 5 or 4 was better than Rocky or Rocky Balboa.

That's kinda where the comparsion comes in, you can't say Encore was equally or more respected than TMMLP or TSSLP or even TES.

When you have arguable classic album, arguable classic album, arguable classic album followed by a well above average album thats where the problem lays for people. They expected him to deliver something as good as those 3 albums which is a big compliment to him when you think about it.

Its annoying that Relapse is out and all people still wanna go on about is Encore. Why do people want to talk about his worst album the most?

Honestly i don't get what you see in all these songs on Encore.

Great Tracks:
Lik Toy Soldiers
Good Tracks:
Mockingbird, Mosh, Spend Some Time
Average Tracks:
Evil Deeds, Encore, Crazy In Love, Yellow Brick Road, Never Enough,
Shitty Tracks:
Just Lose it, Puke, Ass Like That, Rain Man (terrible song cannot see how anyone likes it), My first single, Big Weenie, One Shot 2 Shot

I'm sorry im sick of the encore talk as much as anyone else i just had to say that.

Yellow Brick Road and Mosh, are the two best tracks on the labum. I agree with most things you say Eminemnow, but not sure why you don't rate YBR as highly. It has by far the best rhymes, an important story to tell and the rhymes stay complex consistently throughout while also staying on topic. I'm not saying it's better than Mosh, but both are great. Like Toy Soldiers may be a bit corny or something, but it's a classic, imo. Nothing too complex lyrically unfortunately, but it had a good positive concept, and I thought the sample chosen for the hook was genius, loved the original.

I didn't say it wasn't. But the immediate memory formed from it in mine and people's minds who've seen them all would be WAY better if he just left it at one.

It's not that the sequels aren't "as good" they're clearly just cashing in on the format. I mean some of the moments in them are SO ridiculous it looks like spoof.

I think the most ridiculous one had to be part 4.
