No idea why it didn't make the cut, then again that's shady..

It really seems like two songs combined. I wish he would have connected the first part more with the whole slim shady theme.

It's still better than 95% of Relapse.

I love it, and I really think it should have been on Relapse.
The third verse where Shady and Marshall go back and forth is awesome, and the lyrics/flow are classic.

all great thoughts and yes a great track, i also thought the first verse was out of place until i listened to it like 20 times in a row, here is my perspective on it.
I think the first verse is Eminem or Marshal just coming up with a verse that he thinks is good shit talking about the compitition that is out there and what he does to make his raps, like explaining what he does.but at the end of this verse he talks about the mirror growing lips and telling him to come nearer, to me this signafies that he cannot escape Slim Shady, he always is in the back of his head and also it is a good transition into the next verse.
the chorus obviously talks about "You and me are ment to be together my darling" this means that no matter what Shady is going to be there, no matter what he tries to do to get rid of him.
The second verse is obv about him fighting with Shady about who should kinda be on this next album and at the end of the verse Shady says "look a little closer, isnt that us on that poster" meaning Shady has always been there.
The third verse again is them fighting, but he brings in Dre, the biggest man in Ems life really. and he says that he isnt happy with Em latley, that is some pressure. Now Em tries to kill him by breaking the mirror and shooting him...but Shady said he couldnt kill him. Now they start talking together, but Shady is the domenant voice i think that means that Shady is trying to take over Em again.
The last chorus is the same exept that whem Em is talking Shady is in the background, this represents that Shady has now become one with Em.

Thats my take on that song, i also think that this song WAS ment to be number 2 on relapse because he does yawn when he wakes up yes, but Dr. West says whats the matter "My Darling", why would you use those words unless it was ment to used later? but i think he replaced it with 3am later because he didnt think the large percent of the audience would understand the power and thought behind this song. so maybe he added the alarm and the "oh shit" at the end of dr. west to belnd in with 3am better.
But thats what that song makes me think about.

really great track but it didn't make a cut cuz of concept of the album..maybe they were thinking like: em was having drugs, relapsed, now he is fighting demons inside, struggle every day, still hearing the voices etc..with those things both bonus tracks would make the cut..instead they chose version with him taking pill once a day at 3 am, him being a serial killer and shit like that..this way they got more positive album, I know killing people is not positive thing but we know that ain't real, its just a theme of the album..songs like bonus tracks are more serious

this song is like a sign of whats to come....Eminem is building a tidal wave ....hes prob got like hundreds of songs to choose from for relapse 2 and still like 6 months to create whatever else hes wants..for all we know he'll drop one of the greatest double albums ever...

i think he was just trying to incoporate a chainsaw cause kill you and business had it (somewhat first tracks) because my darling was GOING to be 2nd track
