Eminemnow wrote:^^ "Must Be The Ganja" is fucking awesome. Classic hook and verses. The only thing that lets it down a bit is Dre's production, his drums are always so fucking loud they drown out Em's voice.

I would swap "Insane" with "My Darling" and "Crack a Bottle" with "Careful What You Wish For".

"My Darling" is perfect, the idea of him struggling with his demons etc. "Insane" is a good track, nice flow and chorus etc. but it's pretty much just a throwaway track, I think "My Darling" would of been way better in its place.

and "Crack a Bottle" is 'good' minus 50's verse. You can totally tell it was made for 50's album and it sounds completely out of place, ESPECIALLY right after "Beautiful", I really don't get what Em was thinking there. I know it was a #1 but so what, surely he must know it sounds out of place.

"Careful What You Wish For" would of fit in perfectly after "Beautiful" - Same feel and mood because it was made around the same period quite evidently. It also deals with his fame and pressure etc and he's telling you to be careful what you wish for. Perfectly fitting theme right after "Beautiful" and a nice heavy short track to preceed the powerhouse lyricism of "Underground".

damn you really put alot of thought in that

I would have probably switched the tracklisting around a little

01. Dr. West (Skit)
02. My Darling
03. 3 AM
04. Insane
05. My Mom
06. Bagpipes from Bagdad
07. Hello
08. We Made You
09. Paul (Skit)
10. Stay Wide Awake
11. Must be the Ganja
12. Mr. Mathers (Skit)
13. Deja Vu
14. Beautiful
15. Old Time's Sake ft. Dr. Dre
16. Crack A Bottle ft. Dr. Dre; 50 Cent
17. Steve Berman
18. Be Careful What You Wish For
19. Underground
20. Ken Kaniff (Skit)

In other words - replace Medicine Ball and Same Song and Dance

My Mom and Bagpipes are two of my favorites tracks. I think any sane person would take of We Made You and CAB. :sweating:

I'd personally take off 3AM and replace it with My Darling, just cause i think it suits the album perfectly and it even follows on well from the intro skit (what with him yawning after waking up from his ringing alarm). Plus, from My Darling he can have Relapsed into his Shady persona and then "Hello" and "Insane" follow well from that.

I'd probably switch Crack a Bottle with Careful What You Wish For, that woulda been a good near-the-end track and much better than CAB, however it might seem a bit repetitive if Deja Vu, Beautiful and then Careful What You Wish For then all followed on from each other so closely.

Eminemnow wrote:^^ Wow I can't believe you'd replace those two and KEEP Crack a Bottle. It's easily the worst song on the album and doesn't fit at all.

I love Medicine Ball, it's got a Dr. Evil feel to it. Same Song and Dance I think is brilliant too.

A lot of people don't like it because they say it's too laid back or think he's uninspired but they obviously don't get the point of the track lol.

He purposely did it like that to mock these so called tracks that basically are just the same song and dance and also he said to make women in clubs dance to it without really thinking what they were dancing to because they're not actually listening to the lyrics.

So I think once that concept is fully realized, plus the actual situation itself and the what's happening in the song, I think it's hilarious. The lyrics and flow are awesome too... "Come on toots, gimmie the Valium, alley-oop" - classic.

Crack A Bottle, Old Times Sake and Medicine ball are all garbage to me. They all sound played out and boring with barely any kind of inventive concept plus the production, hooks and lyricism aren't enough to carry them through. They all just sound like filler. As for Same Song & Dance - its not a terrible song but its basically just a weaker version of Stay Wide Awake which is infinitely better. No reason in having both those songs on the album.

The same goes for Hello but to a lesser extent, i actually dig that song
