Because one of the primary objectives of every emcee is to prove how they are 'craziest motherfucker alive'.

Plus he's got the good Dr behind the boards, he''s proven that he can flow his ass off, great wordplay and complex lyricism and of course he's one of the very few rappers who can appeal to both Underground and Mainstream rap fans on a wide level. Besides Jay-Z and Kanye maybe Nas - there aren't many others who can do that.

However much i do think Em is good, he's not my favorite rapper though, nor do i think he's the greatest of all time or whatever. Albums like Encore and Relapse as well as songs like FACK show that he's not exactly the superemcee we all thought he was at one stage.

By the way I think Em is an incredibly good producer, sometimes even better than Dre. I dont know why, his style just sounds right to me. Go To Sleep with Obie and DMX is probably my favorite beat of all time.

There are so many reasons I love Eminem, and this is coming from someone who is not just primarily a rap fan, as you can tell with my decent grammar, lol. Anyway, I like Eminem because he is original, nobody does what he does and they probably couldn't if they tried. He raps about things you would never think about and rhymes things together you would never expect could rhyme. His witty, funny, offensive lyrics and story telling abilities are unbelievable and just amazing, and he can captivate an audience with awesome lyrics without saying 'nigger' every other word [i.e. 50 Cent: Two nigga's in the front/two niggas in the back/that's four niggas riding strapped/in granpa's cataliac/a voice in my head say fuck all these niggas/then I start thinking, I should rob all these niggas.] Nobody can do what Eminem can do. Whether he becomes old and played out or not, he is and will always remain a legend and the best rapper to ever hit the mic.

when i was little i liked eminem because of how explicit he was, i hated my "parents" so i listened to him because it pissed them off.

them i liked him because how capable he was with words. Still to this day, I don't i've heard any other mc who can rhyme the way he can, and the flow, intricate yet so smooth. I also liked how well he was able to balance the humor with the message, the comedy accented the point. which is something i feel that he's lost a good bit of. people talk about how he's always had the clown/corny ass first single but the first three, My name is, real slim shady, and without me really only had silly videos, and were a little more upbeat, the last two, just lose it, and we made you, were really just silly, not that it's really that bad. though at least in the latter he was silly with some gusto, and skill.

now i like him because he still has the skills, so i like to hear what he has in store for his devoted fans
