what music did you listen to before hip hop?

I never listened to anything before Hip hop,

i heard that Biz markie song( "Something for the radio" ) and bought a complication with some good songs on it.

I heard "who I am" by snoop and since then was loyal to hip hop.

The first album i bought was Run Dmc's "Down with the king"
and then in 98 i heard that Pete Rock Album called "mecca and the soul brother"

pretty much my biggest influence

I listened to alot of hard shit, like Slipknot and Korn.

But this is funny, cuz Slipknot made hiphop-music at first.
And Korn are homies with alot of rappers, so they're kinda influenced by hiphop! :happy:
