Ludacris Hopes To Conjure With Cognac
Rapper slash actor (slash business man slash label president), Ludacris has announced plans to release his own line of cognac called "Conjure" from France. Debuting the new line at Vin Expo (a liquor-based event), Ludacris, better known to the government as Chris Bridges, showed up in a chauffeur-driven Bentley. The new line of cognac will hit stores starting at about $35 a bottle.

As we previously reported this month, 3 people were stabbed on Thursday June 18th after a fight broke out at a Atlanta nightclub with Ludacris and Young Jeezy in attendance. During a party for DJ Trauma at the Luckie Food Lounge a fight involving at least ten people broke out in the VIP area where Estelle and Jermaine Dupri (although he left earlier) were also at. Reports say one man was slashed on the face and two others were stabbed in the arm but none of the artists mentioned were hurt. It's rumored that Young Jeezy was somehow involved (apparently helping a friend) but nothing is confirmed.

T.I. Sick From Virus Outbreak In Prison
Clifford Harris, better known as T.I. to all of us, is sick in prison. Currently serving his one year sentence on gun charges, TIP has been hit with an outbreak of an unknown virus which is spreading through the entire prison. Officials have temporarily suspended visition at the federal Forrest City prison because an illneses has hit a number of inmates. Prison officials say they don't yet know what's sickened the inmates, but that they don't suspect swine flu.

Traci Billingsley, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, recently confirmed the virus outbreak. A number of inmates recently became ill and have been treated at the prison, said Traci Billingsle. The symptoms appear to dissipate within 48 to 72 hours, she said. "Swine flu is not suspected because these all are all gastrointestinal-related," Billingsley said. Visits were suspended Friday. They will resume when medical personnel are certain there is no risk of exposure, Billingsley said. The prison in Forrest City is a low-security facility housing male inmates, including rapper T.I., who is serving a yearlong sentence on a weapons charge.

Juelz Says Lil Wayne Collab Album Is Done
Although Juelz and Wayne announced a collaboration album close to three years ago, not much has been said about it since. Now Juelz Santana says not only is the album is done, they might have to release it independently. [watch here] "The sh*t with me and Weezy, bottom line is we still got records done, a bunch of records," Santana explained in an interview. [watch here]

"We did a lot of records, a lot of politics and bullsh*t promotin' the album, promotin' the album. His album came out and he wound up going through the roof with everything so it's still a lot of politics. Couple records got leaked a few weeks ago, that just goes to show people we been had records already, those were like a year and a half old. We got about 25 records just sitting in the computer. Hopefully, we can put the album out the right way through a major label but if not, f*ck it, we gonna give the streets what they want. The music is done. So they gonna get it one way or another because it's not like we gotta go in the studio and record." [watch here]

50 Blames Labels For Club Songs
Although he broke into the mainstream with his "In Da Club" track, 50 Cent says that record labels are to blame for all the club type radio hits that come out of hip hop today. [watch here] The G-Unit general says that record companiers force artists to make songs that will be radio hits or they simply won't back you. "If you don't make a record that can actually play to a certain amount of audience, there is no possibly way you're going to get the marketing dollars necessary from your system to promote the project to the point that you have the huge successful records that I've had." [watch here]

50 Cent went to talk about combining street records with club hits. "Now I've made enough street material prior to Get Rich Or Die Tryin' for you to forget 'In Da Club' was 'In Da Club.' And then the Curtis album, I didn't make any of that music prior to that album and while other artists chose to sing their entire record, I chose to collaborate with other singers and they said that was the weakest album for me because the hip-hop community feels it's up to me to give them the aggressive content. They don't believe the other guys have experienced any portion of that lifestyle." [watch here]

Silkk The Shocker Talks On C-Murder
Corey Miller, better known to everyone in the game as "C-Murder," recently plead no contest to a multiple second degree attempted murder charges in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. Now his brother, fellow No-Limit soldier and rapper Silkk The Shocker is speaking out saying that C-Murder is innocent and the rest of his family which includes Master P, aka P. Miller.

"It's bad," he said in an interview. "I'm the youngest so I've seen it from all angles. I have a sister who taught me a lot. I have a successful older brother. I have a brother who was murdered. I have another brother who is extremely successful. I have a brother that is accused of a murder that we know he didn't do. I can't really speak on his situation for obvious reasons. There's just a lot of stuff going on in his situation with the government and the DA in Louisiana. I know for a fact he didn't do that crime. But because I've seen all these situations it influences me. I live and learn from these situations."

Rich Boy Tones Down His Lyrics
Rich Boy has been out of the spotlight for a while now but the southern rapper has a new album coming and recently talked about calming down his drug-based lyrics and even promises to become one of the top ten emcees when he leaves the hip hop game. "[The album] is going to be more substance, man, because what had happened was, it messed my head up, I was riding through this project called Roger Wiliams, and this kid had asked me, 'Why you rap about crack so much, Richy,'" he explained in an interview.

Rich Boy continues, "And it just messed my head up to the point where I couldn't get mad at the little cat. I was just like, I could tell he seen something real dealing with crack. So I was just like, 'Man, for the kids like that, I'd rather change my topic.' If I know kids like that are listening to me...But not fully. I'm going to keep it real and rap about the sh*t I've seen, but I'm not going to glorify it...When I leave out the game, when I stop, I'm gonna be top 10...And I put this on everything. I'm gonna be top 10."
