i agree there is no best, em is my favorite and i believe he has the most skill with lyrics flow and everything. but Tupac an BIG were like the jam in the day both seemed like gods and had a legacy that cant be touch, of course i just got done watching Notorious the movie like litterally 2 minutes ago. it seemed so natural and they rhymed about life i i love that, so if i had to say based on skill and no opinion as far as fav it would be

no order

Eminem - Really brought multis and inside rhyme to the mainstream stage
Big L - Was one of the first to have the crazy metaphors (RIP)
Tupac - Was the face of the West Coast when the East and West beefed and brought poetry to rap
Jay-Z - Even though I dont really like it, he brought a business state of mind to hip hop...when he became prominent in '96 most rappers will still poor as fuck
Nas - come on, had an instant classic right out the gate as his first CD and all his CD's, except Nastrodamous, are classics
