I have to say, I didn't think he'd win the whole thing. I also can't say he doesn't deserve it. Same as if Jay-Z, Pac, Biggie, Nas or Rakim won I couldn't say they dont deserve it. They have all been massive for hip-hop in their own way.
I'm glad Eminem won though. Imo, he is the best, alive or dead. He's without a doubt the most versatile, multi-talented, popular\commercial and contraversial rapper ever. He owned on those categories. But he also has great lyricism, live performance, freestyling, battling, conceptual stories, emotional personal songs, uplifting spine-chilling songs, club bangers and rediculously funny and entertaining songs. Most critically acclaimed award winning and highest selling rap artist of all time, without selling out and being pop.

I voted fairly in every bracket and category for the best rapper, I was sorry to see some of my favourites like Big Pun and Canibus leave a little early. But it's cool to see Eminem get the win.

..we all have our particular styles and methods--its all about striving for perfection--one cat commented that biggie could not spit like Em..we'll thats because BIG did not spit like Em...very distinct different styles--when it comes to skill level though I'm just gonna say this, but its only opinion..Eminem is great yes--but put Eminem up to lets say KRS...ummm yeah any real Hip-Hop head would know KRS--Black Thought-Mos Def-Rakim-LL Cool J-Chuck D-Guru-Kool G Rap-Big Daddy Kane-an a few more would give Em a run for his money..Em is sick and focused..but KRS ones and Black Thoughts are freaks of nature hip-hop head...if you have never heard thought or KRS freestyle its strait flow..flow flow flow fluid..not knockin Em..jus sayin he is up there with the greats but I would not vote him as the best thas for damn sure
