Relapse did top the charts?? all over the planet, of cause his gunna win awards, Grammys, Mtv Emas, Mtv VMA's, Brit Awards, whatever else there is, who else will stop him in the hip-hop categories? no-one

The cutoff dates for the next Grammy's are September 31 2008 - August 31 2009.

During that period there will be no Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, or TI albums released.
The only notable albums that came out between those dates are Relapse, Deeper Than Rap, and 808s & Heartbreak (If the Grammy's consider that a rap album, which they shouldn't, Kanye himself said it was a pop album). I think Em has a very good shot at Best Rap Album because non of the obvious rappers will be nominated this year.

I really can't even think of what else can be nominated than the 3 albums I said, maybe some of the lower profile rappers will get nods, like Q-Tip, Mos Def, that would be cool.
Edit: Oh yeah, Jadakiss will probably get nominated too.

It really depends on his competition. It was a good, solid effort, but it's nothing that couldn't be out-shined like TES or MMLP. If Jay comes correct he could take it, or maybe some underdog could jump up and snatch it.

Jay can't be nominated for next years grammys, if your talking grammys
