I listened to a couple of Canibus CDs and couldn't really get into him but it's still a pretty sick verse and he's got a couple of other good tracks.

the beef started when Canibus asked for Em to do a collab, Em turned him down and he took it as an insult, a brought back Stan in his own version called "U didnt care" it was a diss twords Em saying he never responded to his fans and treated people like shit because he never returned any of Canibus's letters.

Yeah I can't say I heard Cannibus's disses, altho I might have and don't remember, but I feel what spyder said makes sense. Even if most people who heard both said Cannibus "won" Em's popularity made so many fans of em hate Cannibus, making it be the same as winning the beef.
But now I wonder if in Joe Budden's 16-minute "who killed hip-hop" track, when he says "Cannibus made one of the best diss records and some still say he lost" is in regards to his beef with em, if that "song" he is referring to is a diss on em?

This is a strange beef to address because it's more of a one-sided beef. Eminem has never dissed Canibus and he's only mentioned his name in the odd freestyle or one-liner. Apparently, this was enough to prompt Canibus to record the song "U Didn't Care," a sequel to the classic Eminem track "Stan". In the skit before the song, Canibus witnesses Stan driving off the bridge and he pulls over and helps him. In "U Didn't Care", Canibus takes the role of Stan and writes to Eminem. Stan is a recurring character throughout Canibus' latest album "C True Hollywood Stories" and Eminem is even pictured in the album's ad. At the moment, it is not known whether or not Eminem will respond to Canibus' diss track towards him. The other mystery is what triggered Canibus' obsession with Eminem. This is most likely a publicity stunt, similar to the beef Esham has with D-12.

Nah I think he's talking about the LL beef on that line. It was almost obvious that he killed LL with Second Round K.O. but since LL was the bigger artist of course the general public voted him the winner. Canibus is sick though....super underrated, his lyrical ability is more complex than most Rappers in the game. A legend that never truly got his full respect.

Very true man, very under-rated and under heard. I'm always repping his music. He's a very original lyricist, the first to use scientific terminology in his metaphor's and super long verses. For anyone unaware of his songs, here's a few I'd recommend.

That track is awesome, 8 minutes, no hook. Also the best beat he's ever rapped on.

Brilliant emcee, one of my favourites.

He did lose this (mini) beef though, simply because as someone else said, Eminem had the star power. Also though, Canibus never really came back with a rebuttal after Can-i-bitch (Which was a weak diss by Eminem in my opinion, in comparison to his other diss tracks).
