Apatow on getting Eminem to appear:
"He's friendly with Adam (Sandler), and we heard he was open about doing something in the movie, and we knew we wanted to have a very big star give Adam advice. He showed up, and we had a version of the scene written, but basically most of it we made up as we were going along. ... He's hilarious. You forget that most of his songs are hysterical. I kept worrying, 'Am I going to offend this guy?' Then I thought, 'He wrote songs about killing his wife and his mother. I don't think I could pitch him a joke that would make him mad at me.' ... He was great. And he's a fantastic actor."

Sandler on Eminem T-shirt:
"Marshall Mathers gave this to me when we were shooting," Sandler said of Eminem, who makes a brief but poignant cameo, during which he gives Sandler's burned-out character some advice. "And I like it."
