I think some people take the whole Slim Shady persona way too seriously. Yeah, he tried to bring it back on Relapse, but of course it's gonna be different from before. Especially with how fans view it. They want Em to come back like he used to, but then acknowledge the fact that you can't really remake that shit again.

well yeah i agree with you guys, but do you recall the shade 45 interview with Masta Ace ? they were talking about shady's early years in the game like sslp, mmlp, so then em said "why was i raping that way?" , so he got bored of it period. and maybe in a few years he will be asking him self "why was i using that fucking accent?" so you ca'nt blame em for doing what he likes and comming up with new styles, we should be happy for him reinventing him self, while other rappers sound the same since they came in the game.

Honestly i hope that relapse 2 will be what Eminem wanted to bring out, not "Dre what do you think they want?", because ive like everything he put out from SSLP to encore, but relapse the concept seems to be by eminem but how he executed it, really seems like off.

Em was taken a break for 4-5 years, that's a lot of fucking time, it's impossible to creat album like MMLP or TES (these two are fucking classic) but Relapse is very good, i mean he's back with these crazy slim shady stufs but with a litle different style. And if he didn't use this accent (i don't like it too) Relapse would be better.

i think a lot of ppl in Shady camp don't like the accent but Em's the boss and maybe they're fray

I agree that Slim Shady type songs on Relapse don't sound the same as the ones in the past, but I can't really blame him.

i no what ur saying.....i dont want him 2 remake mmlp type songs but i think he completley failed to keep things relevant on relapse when he had a great opportunity to.......instead, he's jus plain talkin bout killin people and cuttin peoples heads off without any relevance or purpose when he had ammunition to really do some classic songs....

ammo such as the divorce from kim, the fact that he's back, his addiction to drugs, generally how fucked up the world is, the state of hip-hop etc....all this kinda stuff can be used in the slim shady persona perfectly

and he has said in interviews, quote "trying to take it back to the first 2 albums" and im 99% sure relapse 2 is gonna be more of the same, after watchin several interviews bout it

so no i dont want the same thing, i just want eminem to keep the same style and his delivery he had at his peak

relapse seems to be dictated more by the beats than the raps......with sslp and mmlp, the beats are fairly simple but the delivery and lyrics are outta this world........with relapse it seems like eminems more rapping to the beat instead of lettin the lyrics, flow and delivery dictate the song

i still like relapse, and listen to it quite a bit but it obviously hasnt got the same edge as sslp or mmlp which em was clearly goin for.......i fink this is probably down to the fact he is sobre now and has never tried 2 written tracks like this when sobre
