Dead Presidents II, although I must admit I only gave the first one a listen or two. Look at the MAGICAL rhyme scheme in the sequel...
Ahh, who wanna bet us that we don't touch leathers
Stack cheddars forever, live treacherous all the et ceteras
To the death of us, me and my confidants, we shine
You feel the ambiance, y'all niggaz just rhyme
By the ounce dough accumulates like snow
The above is the most lyrical bar he ever done in his life. Bite me if I'm wrong.
This is probably one of the only times I liked a sequel to a song better than the first. N.Y. State of Mind was slightly better than N.Y. State of Mind Pt. 2. Coming of Age > Coming of Age (Da Sequel). Friend or Foe's lyrics and beat and flow is MUCH (in my opinion) stronger than Friend or Foe '98. And the list can go on...
Reasonable Doubt RULES. By the way... any of you have the link to the entire high-quality video of Jay-Z performing every track of Reasonable Doubt in Radio City, New York? I really want it!
