He's not good in my opinion.

Holy fucking shit man, that was unexpected from you. :o

Damn I'm shocked, how can you not like Nas man? :o

I don't know actually man... he just doesn't appeal to me. Trust me, I've tried liking him. My friends have tried getting me to like him, but it's a dead end. I just doesn't like him.

I also find a lot of his songs lately to be about "his" people. It's like he only raps with the thought of black people listening to him. Has anyone noticed this?

Nas is one of my fav rappers, but he gets boring quick.. his delivery is always the same, he rarely switches it up (unlike Jay-Z)... he's a very skilled battle rapper, and he's a revolutionist in the sense, that he has a lot of songs talking about racism and how we can move on from it and learn from it.

i can't listen to more than an hour of nas, which is why i appreciate how his albums(his best ones at least) aren't longer than an hour.

I like "I can" the most. The best beat ever made and the chorus is catchy too. :)

I have to say im not a big fan of nas's music and i can understand that his lyrical talent put him up there with the greatest but i find most his music apart from illmatic and still matic and gods son. I can is an awesome song. Great sample used and inspirational :y:
But overall i could be a bigger fan of nas if i tried harder but dont get me wrong he's a great artist but not to my taste all of the time
I know you want to retaliate but you won't dare,
Cause you fuckin with some ****** like this who just don't care.

I love his music. I started off with Illmatic and I was blown away. It is in my top 5 favorite rap albums. I just love it and I can't explain too well why. Stillmatic is very good but I actually prefer It Was Written. I'm really into that one. I Am... and Nastradamus are damn disappointing while God's Son is very good as well. I haven't heard Street's Disciple, Hip Hop Is Dead nor Untitled. Whatever, I think he's a greeat rapper.

I grew up on his music, matter of fact; the very first rap song I heard in my life was 'I can', when I was 'bout 9 years old.

Illmatic and Stillmatic are def his best, no doubt. But people seem to sleep on It Was Written (one of the first albums that appealed to me in music beside Marley's work).

Nas is a great musician, he can sound like a hypocrite in certain songs.. but I believe that's the price he had to pay to get signed.

Yeah I love It Was Written. I don't think it's bad at all, in fact, I love it but I think it got slept on due to being the follo-up to such a critically appraised Illmatic. I still think it's really good. :y:

Yeah, exactly.. Because it was his second album, and the style differed from Illmatic, people didn't appreciate it.
