The more I listen to it though, I think it's the quality of the mic and the mixing process rather than encoding thats the cause of the poor audio quality.

Well Joey clearified it, he said Amalgam hired someone in to do the mixing. So I bet they hired some cheap ass amateur to do the mixing. If it was mixed properly, it would have sounded something like his MM mixtapes, which is fine.

Oh OK I got you, thanx...lol I think I woulda mixed it down better. It sounds like the vocals are clipped soooo much.
