Damn.. I was in a similar situation.

I stayed in the friend zone for quite some time.. and then I started hitting on her best friend.. and she would get super jealous.. I would ignore her and give more attention to her best friend.. who I didn't like at all.. I was just playing the game. Don't completely ignore her to the point that she forgets about you.. Like if you see her.. don't look the other way.. and don't look desperate.

She was dating this one dude for almost 2 months at the time.. I didn't want to mess that up.. but I was like fuck it because I knew what I wanted, and I wasn't going to let her slip away.

Eventually, she called me and she was like "Marco, I can't hide it anymore.. I think I'm in love with you." Going on 8 months now..
