I think Em is better lyricly, but not by a whole lot. Nas is a genius when it comes to describing ghettolife and how it is to grow up with nothing and have to fight for survival every day. Slanging rock and basicly growing up in the streets. Em on the other hand is a fantastic storyteller and has the ability to drag you in to his storys and situations. Nas lacks that ability, at least he falls short in comparison to Eminem.

On top of that Em is a better techniqal writer. The way he can put together a verse or a line, in the most complex way is superior to every other rapper in the game, living and dead.

Don't get me wrong, Nas is fantastisc and is without a doubt up there with the most lyrical cats in the game, but Em is is on another level.

Well, I don't care really what you're like on the inside and I just really want you to come to bed with me. Would you do that if you could? Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

Check out Illmatic and Stillmatic. Must haves for hip hop head. Nas has a lot of good albums, but i would start with those if i were you.

why is this topic locked?

how is Nas of course? he's not

i can't really compare nas and eminem, both describe pain in music but nas talks about everyones pain in the ghetto as opposed to eminem who's more selfish with his music.
