You`re really truly completely worthless.

LMAO. That's your response? I guess the King Stan ran out of decent facts to lay down about why Eminem won. You resort to lame disses, faggot. lmao.

But that's what makes Illmatic better. Nas knew when to stop. Don't you think so?

If every single track on album is dope, that album must be classic. Word.

no, i prefer an artist who can give me a complete dope album rather than just their 10 best songs... if eminem did that wiht MMLP, SSLP, TES then all those albums would shit on illmatic...

Sorry, but not all Illmatic songs are his 10 best... His other albums have extremely dope albums that surpass some tracks on Illmatic. So you're saying that Eminem purposely put some BAD tracks in MMLP so he wouldn't have all dope songs? That fucking makes no sense sorry. And do not say SHIT on Illmatic. That makes no sense... Jesus. If you were Eminem's manager, he would go to ruin.

Actually, Stillmatic >>> Illmatic IMO. I honestly admit, I don't listen to Illmatic too often, I love the lyrics, but it just sounds boring. Stillmatic is way more diverse.

Termin8ter, you either prove your point with some reasonable arguments or stick your keyboard up your ass to prevent yourself from posting shit.

Tash8 wrote:ok i understand what your saying, i agree with the class part, but just cause someones images is portrayed in a pop light doesn't mean he necessarily is.. yes eminem does have the poppy songs like my name is but nas has his corny songs with I Can, just cause it hasn't gotten him as famous or popular as eminem doesn't mean he's not poppy as well..nas just tends to keep it more serious than most, but then i again i love light hearted rap as well, you can't always be serious, it gets boring after a while...I was happy to see Fried Chicken with Busta on Untitled because it helped me listen to the album without getting annoyed by all the serious topics, but he doesn't have enough of those songs... he's just tooo serious, his only album i can listen to front to back is stillmatic (yes it's mostly all serious but it's just that amazing)

Lol @ the irony, 'I Can' happens to be one of my favorites :p I just love the positive message it has. It's like.. a light in the darkness rofl because most of his songs have this dark aura around them.

Although I like light-hearted rap too, I prefer the serious part of it. I think the reason why Nas is that serious most of the time, is that he knows that he'd probably lose alot of the credit streets give him. The way I see it, is that those people who come from the same hood, from the ghettos, don't wanna songs about bubbly life, they need someone who'd understand what they go through and Nas is just like that. Even though he's on the top of the world now, he's still one of them.

Actually, I like Illmatic better than Stillmatic, but that's just me. :p Yeah, I Can is one my favorites on God's Song with The Cross. I love the beat and the message... it's kinda ironic with his frequent descriptions of violence in a kid's inspiration song. LOL. Exactly right about the light-hearted and serious part of rap. Eminem got too many joker tracks and that's why most hood people got a bad perception of him. They think he's a clown, which he's not. But he really got to stop with the goofy first singles. He makes enough money and doesn't need to create EVEN more hype for his new albums... Marshall Mathers gets too much credit for his work, sorry.

Tash8 wrote:
AliJack wrote:stillmatic > sslp and mmlp so i wouldn't disgaree but god's son was not that great... and it does not match up to MMLP, not even close

stillmatic = TES
illatic = MMLP

that's the way i compare the two, but really if eminem cut out a few tracks like illmatic, MMLP would be wayyy better.. just cause it's a front to back album like illmatic

and that's my California State of Mind for you.

Stillmatic is better than The Eminem Show, mind you.
Illmatic is better than The Marshall Mathers LP, also.

MMLP would never be better than Illmatic. And Nas never cut tracks from Illmatic... Only Nas Is Like he saved later, which that track is fire. Don't fucking state bullshit, please, Stan.

Amityville?

I agree, this has been the best debate in a while :y:
Keep it up.
I dont really have anything to say, cuz I dont listen to Nas.
I have tried, I used to dig One Mic and The Message but then it got boring to me after a while.
So I havent really been into Nas.

I'm sorry, D12 fans, but they are a bad group. Every single D12 song on an Eminem album I NEVER listen to. D12 compared to Wu-Tang or NWA is like Lil Wayne vs. Eminem, no offense to Wayne. I don't like him, but don't hate on him just because other people do or he's mainstream. Eminem is mainstream too and does have poppy songs. Amityville, I thought, was one of his best songs on MMLP. :confusion:

This debate is interesting, but some people are too hard-headed. And I'm not an Eminem hater, people, I am a fan of Eminem, or else I wouldn't be here, but I'm just stating my opinion so don't fucking insult people with no reason. Evil-Genius is a fucktard, btw. He says shit for no reason.

I'm going to say it up straight now; I'm getting pissed. Fuck Evil-Genius. Fuck Termin8er. Fuck Sac_JB. You guys just plain hate on Nas and never even listened to him. i didn't say illmatic are his 10 best songs EVER genius, illmatic was his first album, how can he have made better songs later on and put them on illmatic, exactly he couldn't.. i never said eminem purposely put bad tracks on mmlp, but let's say we take those 3-5 not up to par ones, and have a 10 song album, it's would SHIT on illmatic, and yes i'm going to say it'll shit on illmatic, cause mmlp beats illmatic in every way, except maybe for the people from the hood(which i have no problem with, i'm just talking from my point of view, so you got to understand that)... if i was eminem's manager, i'm sure i would do better than shitty paul rosenberg.

Stillmatic is better than The Eminem Show, mind you.
Illmatic is better than The Marshall Mathers LP, also.

MMLP would never be better than Illmatic. And Nas never cut tracks from Illmatic... Only Nas Is Like he saved later, which that track is fire. Don't fucking state bullshit, please, Stan.

don't call me a stan, that's rule one of a debate, if you wanna have a valid discussion, you don't try to insult the other person, that just makes you seem like an idiot who can't debate without having to degrade someone else...

second..you dont think mmlp or tes are better, but i have more than 10 million in this world who will disagree with you.

I'm sorry, D12 fans, but they are a bad group. Every single D12 song on an Eminem album I NEVER listen to. D12 compared to Wu-Tang or NWA is like Lil Wayne vs. Eminem, no offense to Wayne. I agree with you here, d12 is shitty as fuck, the only reason they were any good is cause eminem had some of his most amazing verses on devils nights, you saw what happened on d12 world when he sucked it up.

This debate is interesting, but some people are too hard-headed. And I'm not an Eminem hater, people, I am a fan of Eminem, or else I wouldn't be here, but I'm just stating my opinion so don't fucking insult people with no reason. Evil-Genius is a fucktard, btw. He says shit for no reason.

this debate is interesting, and i'm glad your smart enough to actually debate, but you gotta quit with the insulting, it just makes you seem like an arrogant fuck who thinks he knows everything, ya digg?

For your first comment, the record company does not allow an album to have 5 tracks. And a 5 track album that every track is just LEGENDARY is better than a 20 track album that has some garbage. Not saying MMLP is the latter.

MMLP and TES never shits on Illmatic. I'm afraid if you put it up against each other, Illmatic would win. Believe me. Illmatic has better beats than MMLP by a lot. Have you heard "The World is Yours"? It has much better rhyme scheme than MMLP. And MMLP sounds like Eminem is bitching, even though I enjoyed the album a lot.

I'm not trying to degrade anyone with my insults, but truth be told, you sound like a Stan and it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to convince a Stan that Eminem is not superior. And no. 10 million people would not agree that MMLP or even TES is better than Illmatic. They'd fucking laugh. There's a reason why Illmatic is called the bible of hip hop, dude... Seriously, give it a few more listens. It grows on you.

Agreed, D12 never should have been formed. I especially hate Kuniva and Bizzare, no offense.

Genius, post of the year. The whole point of the 'Eminem vs. Nas' debate is to bring some arguments instead of bluntly saying 'i like Eminem, Nas can suck his giant dick', so let me know if you're going to bring some more enlightening thoughts, I'll stop checking out this thread.

"Illmatic" was the very reason Nas was claimed the best lyricist. 'NY State of Mind' or 'One Love' - they're sick. Add to that producents like Premier, Q-Tip or Pete Rock - you get the essence of hip hop. Like I said before, I still prefer "Stillmatic", but I can see why the die-hard hip hop fans call it the Bible of rap.

I'd never say that 5 dope songs make a classic, because yeah, it's quite stupid. If it was that easy, every rapper could release a bootleg with his top 10 tracks and call it a classic. Classic, for me, means that even after 15 years people will bump and remember it, that you will hear sampled lines and beats and that when you mention it to a fellow hip hop fan, he'll be like "that's the shit".
