Its fair to call Eminem mainstream, BUT a large portion of his subject matter (even on relapse) is not mainstream at all. Its not the usual commercial garbage you hear from other mainstream rappers.
So yes sacjb, Eminem IS mainstream, but hes good mainstream, an example for most of the other commercial artists
