why is Eminem so obsessed with his shady lead single?

i don't buy any of that talk that interscope makes him do it, probably at the beginning of his career, but not now.

he's eminem, interscope caters to eminem alot more than eminem caters to interscope,

his albums are guaranteed platinum, he's not a newly signed artist who has nowhere else to go...

Label forces it because its "the formula"...Eminem accepted it, so it wasn't really "force"...more of the "norm"
Didn't work out all that well with Relapse so hopefully the formula changes and we hear something fresh.
