So ancient greece.Everyone was living their lives believing in 16987364 gods and heroes and titans and monsters and lake gods and I don't know what else. And everyone was fine with that.Other people with polytheistic religion believing in a shitload of gods were ok with the griece and sometimes took of their heroes or gods for their own(but changed the names)...AND SUDDENLY Jessus came and started saying there was only 1 god and that people should believe only him and no other god.And then came the problems.Maybe there is a god.But if there is he would wont like us posting that we don't believe in him so it's in our favor there isn't...
I've gotta correct you on a few points, sorry about that
You say the Christian's god and Allah are pretty much alike, but actually they are the same. The Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in the same God - first there was the Jewish religion, then came Jesus (who was not a Christian himself, he was born a Jew) and reinterpreted the Jewish religion, which later led to the formation of Christianity, and then Muhammed claimed to have gotten a revelation from God in 610 to rectify the distortion of the true faith in God that the Jews and Christians had been responsible for. But the 3 religions all believe in the same God.
Jesus didn't suddenly come and state that there was only one God, the Jews already believed in only one God - what Jesus wanted was to change the Jewish notion that obeying the 613 laws of the Torah was the road to salvation, where Jesus emphasised the love of one's neighbour and the belief in God's unlimited mercy. Jesus didn't revolt against the ancient greek religion, he wanted to change Judaism. Originally he had no intention of creating a new religion, he just wanted to reform the old one - it wasn't until after his death that Christianity was separated from Judaism, it started out as a Jewish sect.
The problems with religion didn't start with Jesus, there's been plenty of religious strife before him, and the belief in the old Greek and Roman Gods has naturally died out since science e.g. proved how lightning works etc.
Whether it's a problem for God that ppl post that they don't believe in him is a question of interpretation - some say that only believers will receive salvation, others that it doesn't matter whether you believe or not 'cause God is infinitely merciful and will admit you to his kingdom no matter what. The last interpretation is definitely the most attractive one for all us unbelievers
