50 Cent
BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT November TBD
LOWDOWN: Had 50 Cent not stopped
production on his own fourth album to
work with Eminem, Before I Self
Destruct would have come out much
sooner, the MC says. Dr. Dre holds down
production on what the rapper reveals
is a return to his gangsta-rap roots.

Eminem
RELAPSE 2 November TBD
LOWDOWN: Eminem has said he and Dr. Dre
cooked up so much killer material for
Relapse, he would definitely drop a
sequel by year's end. Em has said the
albums share themes, which could mean
more seriel-killer tales and Mariah
Carey disses.

god i hope so!!! cuz the sooner u kno it its nov!!! cant wait! :D

fuck 50...there's no market for his album. All he's doing is delaying Em's album.

I don't think he's delaying Em's album...

Whenever Em decides to drop R2, Interscope will just push back 50's album

I think Em is a higher priority over there right now than fuckin 50

It happened with Relapse I think..

Damn, i can't wait for shady's album to come out, but curtis's album needs to drop too!! em has some people to get at on R2, and he will too.

wouldn't nov release dates help both artists tho

I don't think it would help them

Imagine there's a kid with only $10 (average price for a CD) so he can only buy 1 album.
He has a choice between Eminem's dope album or 50 Cent

Obviously, the kid'll pick Em. That's lost money for 50 Cent and less total sales for him.

Labels want to maximize sales for their artists and a close release date between the two would interfere with that

Not a great example, but i tried :p

And call the Slim Shady LP the greatest
The Marshall Mathers was a classic
The Eminem Show was fantastic
But Encore just didn't have the caliber to match it
I guess enough time just ain't passed, yet
A couple more years, that shit'll be ill-matic
Image

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

good point. damn, i want r2 to come out in nov for personal reasons, but i don't want curtis to fail. i'm really concerned for him with the constant delay of a release date, something's obv. wrong
