Holy shit, I downloaded their latest album (2008) "When Life Gives You Lemons" and I'm.. amazed. I haven't heard anything that good in a long while.. Seriously, how come I hadn't known them for such a shitload of time!
First thing I noticed about this album (cause I was giving it an average listen and didn't go into the lyrical delails) were the beats. Fucking awesome beats. Great beats! They sound fresh. I mean.. They're very melodic, not the typical hip hop beats - huge props to DJ Ant. :worship:

Next thing was (after I was like "WHOA, love the beats!) lyrics and Slug's flow. Fire. My personal faves: Painting, In Her Music Box, Your Glasshouse.

OMG, I haven't been that hyped since Mos Def's "The Ecstatic". I'm checking out "God Loves Ugly" right now.. Seems like I got alot to catch up to. :b: Anyone else wants to share their thoughts?

They are a great compliment to each other... both of those albums are dope as hell... Slug not only has a great flow and great lyrics, the guy is an incredible storyteller. I cant remember the name of it, but the song he has where gets robbed with a flare gun when he worked at a convenience store as a teenager is the funniest shit ive ever heard...

<3 Atmosphere.

I think a lot of people love God Loves Ugly a lot more than When Life Gives You Lemons...

But i think they're both dope!
How ironic is it that I'm riding around listening to Nickelback? (I'm back!) - Royce

I just started listening to them, I need more time to make up my mind. But so far, both albums are amazing. "Give Me", "Fuck You Lucy", "Hair".. :b:
