[MIXTAPE] C-Riz - Fastlane

I would do a track-by-track review but i'd be repeating myself.
Overall you have improved on flow and delivery a lot since the last stuff you put out. You still got times when it sounds slightly awkward and occasionally your breathing is more pronounced but it's a definite improvement from previous. Concepts of tracks on here was varied, stuff like Through My Veins and Nobody Else was sick but the likes of Psycho 2 and Verbal Serial Killers were stuff i had heard from you before and didn't entertain me as much. Lyrics have also improved, some great lines in the songs and the rhymes at times getting more complex. Selection of beats was good for the most part. Some nice touches in this that i liked, like the acapella at the end of Through My Veins. I noticed throughout the tape you sounded just angry through pretty much all of it bar Real Talk, so i would suggest next time to vary it more, but since this is just a mixtape you probably already know that. I would keep working on the flow and the lyrics, but overall a pretty good tape.

My favourite tracks were Through My Veins and Nobody Else.

Intro - "WORD LIFE!! I'm untouchable but I'm forcing you to feel me!" Love that beat man, is it the actual John Cena beat or is it a remake or something? kind of sounds a bit different. Anyways delivery was perfect, and the lyrics are dope, flowed well, but damn the hook could of been better man. 8/10 cause of the hook.

Verbal Serial Killers - Already left feed for this, but I'ma just say that it was a good idea to put this as your second track. The concept/sound suits the 1st. 7/10.

Psycho 2 ft. Spizzy - I'ma feed Spizzy's verse only, cause your verses are the same as Psycho 2.1. "Run up on a old lady like wassup bitch?" haha sick line. Overall a good verse. 8/10.

Nobody Else - Damn dope beat man, southern beat but I love this shit haha its the kind of south sound that I love. The hook is 10/10 CRAZY hook man, catchy shit. Verses were pretty sick man, everything sounded nice, but the song ended to quick man. 9/10.

Through My Veins - Some pretty crazy lines on this like "Go to sleep but its not a Ja Rule Diss" haha nice shit man, the second verse was DOPE, specially the way you started it man. The hook was excellent, nicely done man. When you say "deep down the water" in the 1st verse, you sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger LMAO. This song is pretty intense man. 9/10.

Fastlane - Already left feed for this one, its pretty good for what it is. Just to T.I'ish for me listen to it more then 3 times. 7/10.

Real Talk - Real talk indeed, just like Jada's version. Although I kind of feel you stole his concept/idea and just changed the words, a little bit of creativity wouldn't hurt. 6/10.

Man Up ft. Kez & Big Ax-D - First time hearing you on this type of beat, and I don't like it lol. Wasn't feeling your verse or hook, just sounded boring. Kez's verse wasn't anything special either, it wasn't anything wrong with it, but it sounded boring, specially the delivery. Ax-D finally brought some life to this track, but unfortunately the song is just boring, not your verse though. 6/10.

Pain In My Words 4 ft. Big Ax-D - Damn this brings memories man, I love this beat. Man I thought you killed the beat bro, I felt the verses were real as fuck, and I loved them. "Life surprises me, to many choices on my plate" that line is inspirational, dope line. Your voice just suits this beat too much, and your delivery was your best. 10/10. LOVE THIS SONG.

Africa - Ah man this is just to much for me man, this is on some Justin Timberlake/Back Street Boys shit lol, not my type of thing so its not fair judging this.

Psycho 2.1 - Already left my review for this track, but I'ma say it again. This kills the version with Spizzy. Bar's style/voice was just born for this beat, and it adds a lot to the track. 9/10.

Overall: This tape shows you doing your thing, and improving while doing so. Some tight songs, definitely have worthy replay value on this tape. All I want to say is, you need to be a bit more creative concept wise, and be a bit more picky beat wise. And your hooks are pretty average, except on that Nobody Else track, where the hook was dope. So yeah I think with better beats, and more creativity and better hooks, type of ones that capture the songs concept and leave a trademark, you'll sound much better. Pretty good tape though man 8/10.

Aight no fucking round

Intro- Your pronounciation and delivery let you down, really needed to be agressive on this and put more emotion on this track because it felt flat even though the lyrics were good. Pronouciation didn't help either. 4/10

Verbal Serial Killer- Already fed 5/10

Psycho 2- Great beat, your prounciation is good on this, slips here and there. This is your comfort zone so i expected you to do good. Chorus overlays seem off and ruins it for me. Spizzy did a killer verse, nothing to fault. The 3rd Verse back and forth was better from you and spiz, had chemistry there. I'ma give this 8/10

Nobody Else- Synths are annoying, ruins the beat slightly, Chorus is sick, catchy as hell. 1st verse was good, 2nd was great though i'm not sure about the ending tho, the wind bit is good, just the end bars were weak 7/10

Through My Veins- You sound comfy on this beat, you command it in your delievery, chorus was dope, pronouciation lets you down a bit. The Ja Rule diss is greast and your lyrics are a step up from the norm..8/10 though work on your ending

Fastlane- already fed 5/10

Real Talk- nothing spectacular, not great, you sound authoriative like you did on the other beat, don't suit your style and nothing that original either. 4/10

Man Up- Man i hated the beat, so boring, none of you suit the beat and chorus isn't catchy at all, though the synth is partly is to blame. Ax-D bough more energy but his pronoucaition was poor so it kinda cancelled ihimself out 5/10

Pain In My Words 4- apart from the singing, best song on the tape 9/10 cos it ain't perfect

I couldn't get Afrika to load for some reason

Psycho 2.1- already done 8/10 aswell

Overall your tape is 6/10 ( i did an average btw), you have improved, but so has the Tr standard ya'know but definte potenital

Intro - sick ass beat!...sounds like something canibus would spit on...rhymes and flow were good...good start...8/10

Verbal Serial Killer - lyrics are nice...hook is pretty cool...delivery is good...8.5/10

Psycho 2 - id love to spit on this verse...its dark, reminds me of some old jedi mind tricks shit...spizzy kills this with the lyrics...loved how yall both go back anf forth on the third verse...my fav track so far...9/10

Nobody Else - hook is nice on this too...dont like the beat on this that much...concept is cool...fuck a beat i do acapella still smash them - this was an aight track but im feeling it a lil less than the others so far...6/10

Through My Veins - beat is crazy...some necro shit...love your energy on this...lyrics fit the beat well...go to sleep but its not the ja rule diss...good shit...8/10

Fast Lane - you come nice on this...most hyped track to me...everything on this was done well...8/10

Real Talk - strong rhymes...deep lyrics...this is on some real talk shit for real...we all gotta do it and be free...word...this is on the level of psycho 2 even though its completly different...9/10

Man Up - not feeling the beat at all...but you did your thing on this...strong flow and good
lyrics...kez reminds me of an mc i used to spit with...kez was nice on this...i age a year mentally in the same time you age a day DOPE ASS LINE!...ax d got a lovely delivery on this...solid flow and lines...this would have gotten a higher score if it werent for the beat...7/10

Pain In My Words - beat is lovely...something id spit on...i can really relate to this shit...its right up my alley...hook is dope...real emotional...is that ax d on the hook?...this is def my fav track...10/10
