I think he's actually better at freestyling now than he used to be. In his rap olympics/scribble jam days his most devastating lines were writtens, and his off the top stuff was mostly weak.

lots of his freestyle before were pre-memorize too (cuz I don't think Em ever sit down and write a freestyle, but I think he always pre-memorize it)
