the voice

i have to say i hate the voice/accent but i understand that there is a reason why he uses this voice. it is the voice for the relapse "concept." people say this is his first concept album but i beg to differ, all of his albums have been "concept" albums and he's had a voice to match that particular "concept."

in SSLP he had a high-pitched voice with a cartoony tone to the album, in MMLP he still had a high-pitched but angrier voice over a dark tone to the album, in TES he still sounded angry but normalized his voice over a less dark/slightly more commercial sound, in the 8 mile soundtrack and encore he pretty much uses TES voice but in encore, he sounds less angry and less focused over TES-esque (but not quite) production. encore is also the origin of "the voice" and the whole album sounds like a TES-throwaway collection, hence "encore" i guess.

maybe this voice is the "relapse" version of shady and we have to bare with it until after the relapse series and see what voice he uses next. dun dun DUN. o.O

I disagree. His accent only fits into Stay wide awake and 3 AM.

Ya. I think part of it is his voice has just changed in general over the years. If you watch interviews from 99 and compare them to today you can deff hear that his normal speaking voicehas changed a lot.
