In 2003 Em was undisputedly the greatest musical star in the world. A star of the screen and a genius for The Eminem Show. What happened to him after that great focused period of filming and writing 8 Mile that caused him to regress so painfully into drugs!? Remember this was still 3 years before Proof died ,and, in context, Em was still battling to fall asleep and had used certain drugs before. So I'm saying, *where* was his backup? Wtf! You gonna let fucking Eminem become a drug addict and fall apart?! Where was Paul Rosenburg at? Where was Proof at? Where was Hailey? Em could have gotten tough love from the jump and been *thrown* into rehab by his friends and family who were supposed to love him. It could have been done then and there. Fuck it: he could have shelved the "Encore" project and gone to rehab instead. Instead we end up with Five wasted fucking years of a great genius like Eminem; And, well,I guess I feel that his family and friends are at least partly to blame for the severity of the matter. In short, Em was just about a god in 2003: there was NO reason for all the subsequent shit to happen. He had no guidance. Just think how focused he was then, why couldnt he grow with those around him? Am I making sense here?
Just imagine what could have been.

Lucky he came back at all I guess. He's got a chance now with Relapse 2 to really touch the stars again. IMO, there are far too many Eminem haters out there.

I think it was in his book that he said that if anyone even looked at him the wrong way, let alone brought up his problem or mentioned rehab or anything of that sort he fired them or just stopped talking to them. So I'm sure people tried to help but couldn't really get through to him.
