Biggie and 2Pac

2 different rappers, so for every Biggie thread or 2Pac youtube video, stop fucking comparing.

Come on man, they were competetors, you can't tell people to stop comparing them, because each ones popularity is only increased by the other. You couldn't know biggie without knowing pac, and vice versa.

Of course it's natural to compare them. But doesn't it tire you? I find it very tiring that when it comes to appreciating one of them artists the competitor has to be mentioned and has to take the spot as being in the center of talk along the other. It's a Biggie appreciation thread. Imagine everytime they spoke about Eminem they had to mention Jay-Z the whole time (which they don't).

I understand what you mean when YouTube users have to fucking compare Biggie and 2Pac IMMATURELY on every 2Pac and Biggie video.

A.K.A.: FUCK BAD BOY!!!!!! THUG LIFE!!!!! or BIGGIE > 2PAC. FUCK YALL HATERZ!

But this is just an intelligent discussion. We're not even comparing them, really. :confusion:

^Yeah that's what I meant really. :y:

Well back to Biggie, who else really likes his song Miss U? I never hear anyone mention it and it's one of my favorites. I love it, and for once I do feel more for Biggie in this song. Love it.

Funny how you mention it, because I was just listening to that and the beat is on another level.

^Yeah I got it :y: but to be honest I think it was a waste of money cause nothing is uncovered about their murders really, it's sorta bullshit but interesting.

Felt "incomplete" to me aswell.

Yep, it's not that I didn't like it but judging by the cover and everything it felt as if it was going to be better.

I watched this DVD today (Biggie Smalls: Rap Phenomenon). Just wondering if anyone has ever seen it, what did you make of it?

This one: http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/8700358/ ... VD+%3E+MUS

I was once going to buy it but I got the Biggie & Pac one instead. So what do you think about it?

With Big i know he's got better lyrical skills than Pac but I Still prefer Pac anyday. I think Pac got a shitload more Alive/Dead material shit out its tainted his impression on hip-hop. I mean, Biggie was too commercial for my liking, like what i see today not on as a severe level..Ok Pac may be painfully cringeworthy gangsta now but he's pioneered that and at that time that shit was more revolutionary. Biggie never did nothing special in my ears. Don't get me wrong i love tracks like Who Shot Ya?, Dead Wrong and You're Nobody (Till Someone Kills You) just i could name WAYYY more Pac tracks i love

Pac didn't pioneer gangsta rap; that was Ice T. He introduced (and over-saturated) the game with "Thug Life" kind of rap.

Pac was more of an emotional, instinctive guy to me. He wasn't afraid to express his thoughts and emotions; in fact, he tried to constantly convey what he thought out, instead of keeping it confined. I love his "Me Against the World" album. Definite classic that captured the essence of life's struggle.

Biggie, on the other hand, was a laid-back sort of guy, but that doesn't mean he didn't undergo ordeals in is life. His "Ready to Die" album is personally, as of now, my favorite hip hop album ever. It was just brilliant how he showed so much diversity and dexterity with his raps. Still bumping that shit daily.
