How Come Hip Hop Artists/Camps Never Release...

the rest of the songs they record for albums, when it doesn't make the cut? I know not EVERY record has to be released for the general public, but I get greedy and want all the songs they record. I know some reasons might be sampling issues, too offensive (like Em did a song about Christopher Reeves, another one, that he trashed and never re-recorded for the Encore album, I'm not talking about Rainman). What do you think? Like The Game released most of his extra songs on to a whole new CD, after LAX was released last August. Just curious what people might think about this.

It's not uncommon for artists to do such things in other genre...I mean, that's usually what an "EP" will be between albums. It's probably because in Hip Hop, artists make a number of different songs about the same thing--some are better than others. They might even recycle some of the rhymes for the songs they don't use to construct a better song later on. To put out these types of songs, it would be very repetitive.

That's just my take on it.
