The hook and the last line "Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister, almost as if to..say" are the best parts of the song in my opinion.

I like how he rhymes in it. Just listen more closely, it's there.

I mean the rhyming is lazy and boring. This song was from when Eminem was deep into his drug period when his brain wasn't functioning fully.

"I followed you DAD and now you made mommy SAD"

It's just a poorly written song in an attempt to make an important, serious piece of music, like Mockinbird was. Sad really.

it's very hard to tell a story while displaying impressive rhymes. Stan's rhyme scheme wasn't all that flashy but it is still one of eminem's greatest songs.

that's why Lose Yourself is & always will be his best song. amazing rhymes & an amazing story-telling song, as well as an amazing beat, amazing hook.

Yeah...Stan's rhymes weren't on When I'm Gone's level of weak, though.

When I'm Gone also contains the awful drug voice as well.

I like the song alright, although I don't particulary like his voice. There's something odd about it. The song just gets old really quickly, probably like others have mentioned its just forced emotion. Definitely NOT the best since TES though.

Yeah,the rhymes are not really good, but I love the lyirics, they are really cute and personal
I love when he is sensitive
Mockingbird and When and gone are really sensitive
Hailie's song and Crazy In Love are sensitive with a few ''violent'' rhymes (In hailie's song ,in the third verse)
