I understand "Careful What You Wish For" not being on the album, it doesn't really fit, but "My Darling" would have been a good 2nd track.

I think he was going for something different with this album, it's not about who he worked with, Eminem wanted to make an album about being a serial killer-rapist so he did.

Look out for Relapse 2, I think the lyrics will be a lot more personal and maybe you'll see that combined with the rapping style and flow of Relapse he can make some amazing songs.

Beautiful is a great song, yes, but it's not amazing from a technical standpoint.

^^Agree totally^^ Relapse was more of a concept album, in that he took the persona of a serial killer and used that as a theme for his material, it gave him something to rap about. He was finding his feet again, and having that framework of the serial killer psyche helped him on his way. In a lot of ways I guess that detracted from the success of the commercial side of things, but if it helped him get back, it helped him get back. True what you said about 'Beautiful' also.

As for Relapse 2, I do hope so. And as previously said, I hope Resto has worked on it.

There's little doubt in my mind that it was a warm-up. You cant escape a drug addiction like that and then just come out unscathed right away (proves even Eminem cant) and spitting flames. We basically only heard the beginning of the Dre/Em studio sessions where Em was trying to see if he could even still rap/make music sober. Since then, he's been dropping bombs: Forever, Psycho, Warning, latter songs of Relapse obviously. His live performances of late have been phenomenal as well: Rock the Bells and the Cypher in particular.

I can see wy both of them weren't on relapse...CWYWF is not a comete song first of all....and that intro I way too long..they would have to make is a skit..and then there is 2 songs u need to take off for a song that ..1 does not fit the topic wich all the relapse songs (ecxept CAB) have..and my darling is pretty good...but the first verse does not make sence to the song at all...if he changed the whole first verse then it should have been track 2 (and take off CAB)...but since those sogs are the way they are...good thing they are not on relapse

dno how people can say my darling is average, one of the most creative tracks of the year, i fink the main reason they wernt on the album, as said, was because they didnt really fit with the theme of relapse, im just glad he released them as bonus tracks and didnt hide them in the shady vault

According to Resto's Myspace, he is at Voodoo with Em tonight... I'm thinking he's helping with some of the older D12 tracks that will probably be performed, I know he also helped produce on Devil's Night and D12 World.

Speaking of D12 world (and this is just a little sidenote) who has heard the hook from 'Just Like U' by Bizarre?? I'm thinking Em could have ripped that track had he taken it and done it as one of his 'emotional' records; about being a role model and having expectations or something along those lines...

But yeah, Resto=top man.

My Darling has a decent beat, but his flow, although impeccable, sounds extremely lazy, as does some of his lyrics. The content is pretty predictable and the hook is terrible.

Careful What You Wish For has a fantastic instrumental and is too short, IMO. The singing hook is just disappointing and although the content is somewhat interesting, the complexity could be improved.

Those bonus songs are 1000 times greater than Relapse. I can't imagine Em wants to look back at Relapse and see a song called "Bagpipes from Bagdad" where he picks a wuss fight with Mariah and has a gay accent. Those songs were made for 10 year old kids to laugh at not for people to enjoy music.
