you suck. run this town is better than any eminem single off the last two albums despite being corny, i dont feel embarassed for Jay like i do Em. Already home and reminder are two of the worst songs so that shows what you know about song quality.

Anyway, the reason why people prefer Encore is because it was still old Eminem despite him not being able to rhyme on half the songs and there being filler, but amongst the filler there were a few bangers cus he stiill had them in him. whereas now we have a whole bunch of mediocre songs that feel nothing like the older songs. a new boring, moody eminem, skinny and serious. while this isnt a bad thing it hurts his image and makes it seem like that 4 year absence was a whole era passing.

the only really good songs are deja vu and stay wide awake and still they dont evoke the same feelings that us old fans used to feel.

What is your fetish with singles??? who gives a shit if run this town is a better single than the ones off em's recent albums (imo, beautiful, mockingbird and like toy soldiers are all better) singles don't make a good album.

Encore is old eminem??? No it isn't, i'd say evil deeds and 1 or 2 others are the songs that resemble the old eminem. Encore in my opinion was rushed out by Em's label so they could cash in while his name was still hot.

Relapse howver is pure, vintage eminem on almost every single track! Maybe the quality of the songs aren't on the same level as his older stuff, but they are pure eminem for the most part.

Deja vu and stay wide awake are the only good songs off relapse??? Underground, hello, beautiful and the second verse in insane are better than the whole lot of Encore combined imo.
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Mosh
never enough
yellow brick road
spend some time
encore
one shot 2 shot

with al the other trash on that album i reckon those songs justify people preferrin it over Relapse, at least they said something. Beautiful is corny as fuck and i hated it after more than a couple of listens, "in my shoes, just to see, what its like, to be me" oh dear..

now there are five tracks from relapse which i like a lot, however the whole album has such a different vibe and lack of meaning that i thought for a bit i preferred Encore. Now i really think about it id say relapse just > encore, due to the fact he actually tried :p the spark may have gone that was present on encore but its still a solid album.

:y: I feel the same about Beautiful, but you should know that it was written around his rehab time, which means way back ago, that's why I give him a pass for this one.

Also, One shot 2 shot sucks, Never Enough 50>, Encore only the beat good, Mosh is nothing special, yellow brick road is so-so, spend some time is good (entitled to my opinion), not to mention he raps like a robot through the whole album. I say Deja Vu alone > those tracks combined.

Reminds you Relapse is a CONCEPT album, that's why if you don't like the concept (murder/rape/pills....) you'll tend to not like the album, that's understandable.

"Sometime's I feel so alone, I just don't know
Feels like I been down this road before
So lonely and cold, it's like something takes over me"

And this is some hardcore rap shit...

What tha fuck yall talkin shit about Beautiful? Deja Vu might be better lyricaly, but his multies in there are forced. And you can clearly see that, thats why its losin its appeal. Beautiful is one of his most emotional driven songs. Just like Stan...

I know what you mean its one of them "emotional" songs like Mockingbird, Hailies song etc but it just came off to me as corny and played out, the chorus is awful the verses are a bit trite though even though they are his true feelings, it doesnt compare to his older introspective stuff( although mockingbird is corny as fuck as well).

plus if relapse is a concept album and the new shady rhymin with crazy multis about stupidest shit i dont really want a older song from nearer to encore on it.

sayin that iam grateful for deja vu as i always said it was the best song on the album. basically i can totaly see why some people prefer encore.

duuuude spend some time, mosh, yellow brick road, encore are all better than nearly al the songs on relapse :o my mom, insane, bagpipes, underground theyre all poor, annoying versions of his older songs.
