Wheres My Snair

Postby Fa-Q » Nov 1st, '09, 21:48

In the beginning of Cleaning Out My Closet he says "where's my snair" and it doesn't really fit the song so I'm asking was that intentional or was he talking to Dre from the booth...or was the headphones he had on not playing the snair on the beat

Gives you the feeling that you're with him in the stu.

Well if that is the reason (so it feels like you're in the studio) then why didn't he do it on a stupid/not serious song not one with serious subject matter like this

Because "Where's my snare?" was a very serious moment for Eminem and he wanted to express it emotionally to connect with the listener.

Why? In many serious songs you hear 1,2,3,4 let's go etc. it's like the intro of the song.
The way he says where is my snare, prepare you fro a serious song...

maybe they were just in the studio recording it, then em asked "wheres my snare" so it got recorded and they just decieded to keep it.

i heard it took him 34 times to perfect it.

30 times, in fact. He was 30 years at that time, so Slim thought it would be funny to mess up 30 times as a shout-out to his age.

Closets are things that gay people come out of. He was flirting with Dr. Dre in this instance by trying to get his attention. Think about it: Dre was all focused on the boards or whatever the fuck they're called, and had his head down. Eminem loves to take little love-jabs at Dre, so he simply said that into the mic because he knew that Dre would look up at him and give him a little sexy smile. He even blurts out that him and Dre been fuckin with hats off in "My Dad's Gone Crazy". Now if that was a joke, why would Dre then say, "Suck it Marshall?" Come on people, it's so obvious...
