What does LP mean?

On a few of his albums he has LP after them. What does it mean?

I dont understand what that actually means though. Whats the point of putting that there? THe songs are longer? Or what?

An LP is a full album (Long Playing record) and an EP (Extended Play) is usually around 3-5 songs.

So an LP is album, and an EP a mixtape (sortoff).

Okay I guess doesnt really make sense. I never seen LP or EP on a cd besides from Eminem.
