Yeah, considering the fact that Americans speak English, which they got from the, surprise, English.

actually...there are lots of american words were made up outside the "English" language...and prolly some words that were dropped.....but considering that most of the first "americans" were "English"....changing language when they had to survive the harsh winters and completely massacre the native american's woulda been completely stupid

Small beef is alright, but when good threads gets fucked up because of this, then it needs to stop.
